The food was different than what I'm used to ordering at Khmer restaurants in America, and how my own mother cooks things. I liked how it was familiar but still tasted differently.
The som lor m'chou kreung was less sour and more sweet and savoury. In New England we use a lot more kreung in it.
The fried egg with cha-om was more floral thanks to the fresher ingredients. I have to get it frozen back in America, this kills the freshness, it's a lot better here.
