Enso Cafe located in Street 240, Kan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh. You can access it through Norodom Boulevard (+/- 100 meter from Norodom Boulevard, it would be to your right); or alternatively you can access it via Ang Yukanthor Street (the Cafe would to your lef).
The first visit to this Cafe, my impression was something convenience and airy and clean; but at the same time is formal. You will see big, wide glass wall there where you can see those who are inside the cafe; while those who are inside the Cafe can also see you standing or sitting outside.
When first I visited this coffee shop on Thursday, 1- February 2021, for an afternoon coffee, most visitors were westerners. Some of them just had a chat with their friends or business partners, or could be couple, some of them busy with their laptop or tablet. Yes, that was true that I guess this Cafe offers visitors with conveniency mobile working space. You can work online right from your gadget from anywhere, including from this Cafe.
I ordered my hot latte while my friend ordered iced lemon tea. My hot latte was just usual hot latte, nothing special. The taste and the appearance was also not so impressing. Just general taste of hot latte. My hot latte came up with two small cookies. While my friend's Iced lemon tea was in high glass, and seemed ok too. It was clear with yellowish water and lemon slices inside. My friend seemed enjoy his iced lemon tea.
My view about the waitress, they were in grey T-Shirt, which I saw it was not so fresh looking. But the waitress, the Khmer lady, she was kind, full of smile as usually Khmer people is, and polite.
This Cafe, I would suggest, is not suitable for family. Why? Family need something cozy and informal setting and environment. This Cafe does not meet my criteria of informal setting and coziness. But it is ok for meeting place with your business partner. The choice is yours. For this time being, I did not have the opportunity to take picture of this coffee shop. Next time I visit this shop, I will try to take some pictures about this...
Read moreEnso offers a pleasant setting for lunch, brunch, or a leisurely coffee in Phnom Penh. I indulged in the Keto breakfast and felt rejuvenated, although I missed the presence of bread.

I appreciated the attentive service and the inviting atmosphere.
The high-quality sausage and crispy bacon stood out, both prepared to my special request. However, the omelette lacked flavor, possibly due to the local produce in Cambodia, which I'm still adjusting to after coming from Vietnam, known for its exceptional eggs and chicken.
While I found no major faults, a slight cultural adjustment would have been appreciated, such as being guided and greeted upon arrival by the staff outside. Nevertheless, Enso earns a...
Read moreEverything I had here so far was good, Beetroot Walnut Sandwich, Beetroot goat cheese tarte and shakshuka, also a taste of the mushroom risotto. Weekdays for dinner less busy but weekends it's very popular esp for brunch timing. Cozy atmosphere, pretty strong AC and friendly service. Closes pretty early in the evening at 8pm.
Update in 2024: Vegan avo smash would have been extremely tasty if not for the non-toasted bread. I had asked for toasted bread when ordering, it arrived non-toasted with the waiter oddly insisting it was. Solved by an extra slice of nicely toasted bread (very visible difference). Tarte Tatin was nice, very sweet with a very small scoop of ice cream. As for smoothies, they were great and creamy one day, quite watery the other. Note that they add 7% tip to the...
