The first time I ate at the Crossroads was okay. I had a table right away and ordered brunch. I had the Hamburger Steak and Eggs. The Eggs and hashbrowns were decent. However, the hamburger steak was bland. It was just a hamburger patty without seasoning. The coffee was average at best. The service was good and the interior had a nice homey aesthetic to look at.
I went there a second time for dinner, and it was a better eating experience. I ordered the Fish & Chips with 2 pieces with a Strawberry Milkshake. The milkshake was delicious; it was made with natural ingredients and was topped with whipped cream. The fish was solid good, even though they only serve cod. The breading taste very much like the chicken balls from a Chinese restaurant. The fries were delicious on their own and the coleslaw tasted like coleslaw. Now, despite coleslaw is a given with fish & chips, you still have an additional side choice of soup or salad. The meal also came with garlic toast, which was good as well. My only mistake in what I had to eat was that I should have only ordered just one piece since I was not able to finish everything in one sitting.
Overall, this is a good restaurant to go to for dinner time. Not so much for breakfast, however you could order something...

She brought the coffee and another waiter brought the juice. We asked for honey and a straw. She just walked away. Brought the honey, no straw. The waiter brought a straw. We finally were able to order. An eggs Benedict and the Italian sausage breakfast. We were talked over while ordering. The food came. It was the very low end of mediocre bordering on bad. The Italian sausage was terribly overcooked and both our hashbrowns were tasteless. The toast was so dry it was like it had been toasted in advance and left under warming lamps. Coffee never got refilled so we basically each had like a 6oz coffee for almost 4 bucks. Total bill was $50. Within minutes of finishing my fiancรฉ started experiencing horrific stomach cramps and is now sick with brutal stomach pains. I would have complained about the food but honestly I felt like we'd have gotten yelled at and with my fiancรฉ already in pain I didn't want to wasted anymore time in there. It used to be an ok place but this experience was one of the worst I've ever...

People who arrived after us are being served their food and we had been sitting for 20 minutes. Asked male waiter if our order was ready, he said "it's in her hands, assume he meant cook and walked away. Our waitress walked over and said they were remaking our order because cook put green pepper in. We waited another 10 minutes and finally decided that waiting 30 minutes was ridiculous and we decided to leave. Told waiter we would pay for our beverages but couldn't wait any longer for our food. The waitress said it takes time to cook an omelet and they have to take out the green peppers. Take out the green pepper! I said you should have come over and explained why we were not being served. She said you don't need to pay anything, just leave. The food looked good but we will never know because this we will not return. The whole situation would be fine if they had just given us the courtesy of explaining why our food was being delayed. Needless to say we ended up at Pickled Pig and had an awesome meal and had excellent...
