I quite like the food at KFC, and can't really complain about that. It is consistent, served quickly and still tastes how I remember it tasting from when I was small, but the service today left something to be desired.
The server, whom we'll call "Jen" came across as miserable. She didn't make eye contact with me, nor was she receptive to a friendly smile (you can hear it when someone is smiling!). In fact, it almost seemed like she was only half present in that moment, and I didn't get the impression that she really cared to interact with the world, much less me.
Jen could have been having a bad day. Maybe her favourite pet had died, or worse. Maybe she was up all night with a sick child, or maybe she was sick herself. Perhaps she was a drug addict or an alcoholic. Who can say really, except for Jenn. The problem is that at that moment all those possibilities look the same when you drop an order off in the middle of an empty counter and walk away with that same look that says "there's your food, come and get it".
So yeah, I get it Jenn. They say you'll soon be obsolete, and that your job will be done by robots, and you will be layed off in a hostile job market, which I think will suck for you, but hey, at least the robot will say hello and probably at least thank me for my patronage!
Leave it at home next time you work, or be prepared to explain yourself a bit to the customers whom you are making feel l unwelcome. Just...
Read moreOrdered an 18 pcs family meal bucket with other items to our jobsite. Had included special instructions to add 8 cups,8 plates, 25 packets of ketchup 8 spoons, 8 forks.
If zero stars was an option it would be used in this case.
Talked to somone who claimed to be a manager but sure did not act like one. She was more worried about blaming Uber than taking responsibility for the missing items. In the end she hung up on me and they did not answer the phone.
I spent $90 and the confused staff made us feel like they did us a favor by supplying lunch. Serious customer service training is in definite need. I would be worried if I was the owner. Also I believe there was no manager to be found.
Yes we ended up eating our meal on paper bags and 1 packet of ketchup with no napkins or enough cutlery. Large fries where less than half the box and the chicken was overcooked..
Feel completely ripped off.. sometimes all it take is just a little understanding..
So what happens now. The consumer just tucks his tail between his legs and accepts poor service for thier hard earn money and in the end the company gets...

I'm writing to you today to ask you to send the highest commendations and respect for a great professional at this KFC location.
Sukdev really cared about us as customers today when we called KFC with respect to special instructions for a skip order ... She provided such excellence in service and cared about the special instructions for my son's food, as he had an operation on his throat and he requires the food to be absolutely fresh, hot, and straight out of the vat.
I appreciate the fact that she truly cared and listened to the specific special instructions, as there are a lot of professionals who are unable to listen correctly or follow directions as specified...this great professional, Sukdev truly represented KFC 110%, by caring about my son's special instructions for his order and she executed this order as requested... we truly appreciate her and we hope that KFC will give her the highest respect and commendation for her excellence. We honestly need more great professionals...
