I visited Mucho Burrito this weekend and had high expectations, especially given the great service/food I've had at their Aldergrove location. Unfortunately, my visit to this location was extremely disappointing.
The ingredients were anything but fresh. The chicken was almost empty and had tiny dry bits left over chunks, I asked for fresh chicken and the employee said he would make fresh chicken, so they put it on the grill. The refried beans looked dry/old with a crispy texture, on top of that there were several other items running low or empty. The employee also overloaded my burrito with rice and then informed me I would have to wait for fresh chicken and fresh veggies, leaving the food out out in the cold on the counter. I suggested sitting and in the lobby and waiting until everything was ready, to make my burrito but the employee insisted on continuing with the burrito and letting it sit there while the chicken and veggies cook.
My visit was around 2 PM, so it wasn’t even a late hour, and the lack of attention to the freshness and quality of ingredients was concerning. I changed my mind I decided I didn’t wanna pay for food here and I’d go elsewhere.

Read moreI ordered a burrito from this location on September 6th. While assembling my order, I selected the plant based crumble in the protein options. When I received my order, I took a bite and then realized that my burrito tasted…different. I pulled it apart and found out that there was CHICKEN in it. I cannot eat chicken! I rung the store up, and right off the bat, they were skeptical of my claim and asked that “I bring in the burrito and verify that there is chicken in it”. That they couldn’t have made the mistake. I brought the food and went to the store. Upon entering I noticed that there were two employees standing there whispering amongst each other as I was explaining my situation. No one introduced themselves or gave any time of day to the issue at hand. Overall, I’m disappointed by the poor customer service. Upon confirming that the burrito did have chicken, they took it away. They apologized and offered to remake it, but at the end of the day it doesn’t take away from fact that this happened. I’m absolutely disappointed. I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for a long time and I enjoy the food. This is a major mistake that I cannot let slide. Spent 40+ minutes placing the order (since there’s so many options to go through online). I had to call afterwards because something was missed. When I called I was told they wouldn’t do my online order and to call Ronnie, the owner. Ronnie proceeded to tell me that he wouldn’t accept or fulfill my order because they expected to be busy. Meanwhile, there was nothing online stating this and I therefore wasted so much of my time gathering orders and putting it into the system, just to be told by the owner that he wouldn’t even fill it! Had we known it was “walk in only” we would have ordered from somewhere else and not wasted so much time. He didn’t seem apologetic at all and was actually kind of rude about it.
