Ordered the boss burger and a side of poutine that I shared with my partner, since I was still full from my earlier meal. Got a recommendation of grumpy honey bear beer for to try. I didn’t know that there was a flight sample which I would have been able to try the other beer in their line up. The food was okay, it’s taste like your typical burger. I’m surprised that it wasn’t dry, it got a little bit of juice which I’m happy. The poutine is a classic. Fries is crunchy and soft, curds has a nice bounce! The beer, is on a sweeter side which is nice to pair up with the food. Overall ambience of the place is amazing. There’s 2 floor of seating, lots of space. At the time we went it wasn’t pack yet. Most likely at night it will be. Our waitress is very responsive and attentive! I appreciate that! Overall experience, I highly recommend trying this place out! Note: parking is only paid on the side road.

We loved it here! Known as a bit of a tourist spot, we were hesitant to drop in with so many good options in Canmore. In short, we are glad we caved. We dropped by on a warm evening and were able to seat on the patio with the fresh breeze and enjoy the surroundings. Ordered a couple local brews - big shoutout to the citrus sour on tap - and asked for food recommendations. The pork belly appetizer was mouthwatering good. It’s a must order. We felt similarly about the boss burger, poutine, and giant fish n chips. Fish had a great light batter with a good crunch and it was so tasty. Burger was well prepared and well seasoned. It was the only poutine we ordered all week (we’ve had it before) and it totally satisfied that little craving. Service was great too. Constantly coming by with water and just checking in. Made the heat more bearable! So we had a wonderful dinner, tourist trap or otherwise.

After I visited the Grizzly Paw brewery with a bunch of people, we walked to the Grizzly Paw Pub, which is about 5 minutes away from the brewery! The pub is at the heart of town, nice location, nice décor, nice vibe! For appetizer, we had chicken wings with different flavours, and pork belly with waffles! Both were amazing, especially the pork belly! I have never had such weird but great food before and it took my breath away! For main course, I had a handmade bison burger with yam fries and salad! The burger won “burger of the month” and it deserves the title! And of course, no meal was complete without a drink! The blueberry margarita was great! The atmosphere was very vibrant and warm, loud music though! I had wonderful conversations with the people at my table! Unforgettable experience! Thumbs up!

The Grizzly Paw Pub is a great place to stop for a bite to eat while in Canmore. We grabbed some lunch on a Sunday while travelling through. It was very busy, which is quite normal during the summer months, but we were quickly seated. Our server was very prompt and helpful. Their house brewed sodas are awesome, a hit for the whole family. Our children decided on the Cubs Cheeseburger and the Cubs Mac & Cheese. Both meals were devoured. The mac & cheese was very creamy and cheesy, and definitely didn't come from any sort of package. My wife ordered the Famous Boss Burger, and I went for the Hot Honey Fried Chicken sandwich with a poutine. Everything was very tasty. I really enjoyed the chicken sandwich, and didn't find it overly spicy at all. We'll definitely return again.

What's not to love about a micro-brewery? This one even has a gluten-free beer! Not on tap unfortunately and it's best to double check which of the options they have available. I was served an IPA, which isn't everybody's first choice. Luckily it wasn't too too hoppy. At $8 for the can, it was at the top of what I'm willing to pay for a beer. My friend also had a beer as she didn't want to pay $14 for a glass of house wine. But it is Canmore, so prices are always on the higher side. While we drank we nibbled on some fresh french fries that were perfectly cooked. Our server happily gave us a side of mayo for dipping along with a side of ketchup. The serving size is bigger than big, so take your ski buddies to help you get through the basket.

We had lunch here on a Saturday, they were able to seat us quickly but that was the only speedy part of our visit. It took 20 mins for someone to come take our order. We then waited quite a while for our food. Our meals were tasty but no one came to check that we had everything we needed. We had our meals with no refills on drinks, we had requests for ketchup and napkins but did not have anyone come by. Our server finally returned and brought us the bill. We are not sure if it was staff shortage or just our server. But tables were being cleaned and we were not being served. Fish and chips and a burger pictured below so you can see the good portion size.
