COBS Bread — Restaurant in Aurora

There are no Cobs locations near my home, so when in Aurora I stock up on scones and bread, as they all freeze very well. This location is under new management, and Bhavin, the new owner, goes above and beyond with regard to customer service! I wanted at least a dozen cinnamon scones, but because it was after 100 pm, there were not enough left on the shelves. Bhavin actually offered to bake as many as I wanted, right then, and, within the hour, he brought them to me personally as I was in a restaurant two doors away. Wow! I was also invited to try his dark rye bread, which was enclosed (it is wonderful). This location is clean and the service is excellent; staff is personable and professional, and the customer matters first and foremost. I use to come by to purchase my bread, scones and croissants.

I think there is a change in ownership or the recipe to how the items are made because they tasted very different.

Scone - it's not ur scone texture, it now tastes more like a fluffy bread but with the scone toppings. Disappointed because Cobs scones use to be my all time favorite

Croissant - not sure if it's just me but the quality of it looks very different from how it use to look and it's not your golden yellow croissant instead it's very pale and the fillings seems to have decreased

Bread - medicore it tastes different from how it use to be..

Overall service is great but the products itself is not what I would expect from Cobs, unfortunately I don't think I will return to...

Sad to leave this review but this has happened on my watch multiple times now with the same male employee and it's been hard to not report the incident. The male staff working is a RACIST. I entered the store at 3pm. There were 2 customers ahead of me, one being cashed out and a colored girl waiting to be cashed out. When I entered the store the male staff who was busy writing in a log book didn't help the coloured customer but drop his work to help me. I poiletly guesture for him to help the coloured girl who was before me and he reluctanty helped her in a rude manner.
