Review revised after over 8 visits since June 4, 2025: One of the most nutritious and delicious high end quality food restaurants you can find out there! Great to have hot whole foods constantly because you can cook some more while you eat. Unlimited desserts, cooked appetizers, plum drink, water that taste good included too. 2 different cooking slots in hotpot to cook separately to meet different diets and tastes!
I get sick eating at most restaurants because I have sensitive stomach but never got sick once eating here after 8 or more times! 😊 Delicious fresh foods.
I found specials!
Note: Ask for lunch menu or you won’t get it. Poster on front door but they sometimes forget to give lunch menu special so ask nice waiter.
Regular price total about $45 for adults good deal too!
I highly recommend to more family and friends! 😋I am so happy to find a restaurant with top quality fresh whole foods I can control what I put into it to meet my strict diet and others can enjoy all sauces they like on separate cooking slot.
I went for many lunches and several dinners to YE Skewers in Aurora since May 28, 2024 to June 4, 2025. Everyone including kids loved the food and service. YE Skewer is now my “go to restaurant to eat a healthy and delicious meal now. Food was always very fresh and delicious every time! Restaurant is very clean, modern and comfortable.
Cheaper to eat here than to buy all these high end groceries yourself! It is $14.99 for only 300 grams of frozen sliced hotpot beef alone from grocery stores. The beef quality is much better here! I ate my money’s worth!
I had read previous comments and noticed NOT everyone knows how to do hotpot or boil food and you are NOT alone. I am writing below for those who want to learn.
Instructions How to do hot pot: You pick raw food items from menu from waiter and type of soup bases for your hotpot that has 2 separate cooking slots. Then you put raw food items into boiling soup in hotpot on table in front of you and wait until it comes to a boil before eating food. There are many sauces you can pick at the open buffet counter to dip cooked food to eat or just eat it without any sauce and taste the natural flavor of the food with the soup base or plain salt water in hotpot.
To make sure food is safe to eat and for those who are sensitive, wait for soup to boil after raw food is placed inside. If items are cooked, they will usually float up to surface.
Note: Some people can quickly dip beef into hot water and eat immediately without fully cooking it but not all people can do this if they have sensitive stomachs.
Hope you will enjoy this restaurant like me and my friends&family! Eating whole quality foods like this restaurant is the key to good physical and mental health! I highly recommend those who want a healthy delicious meal! Fresh foods taste good on its own!
Cineplex Theatre right next to YE Skewer restaurant to watch a movie too.
There is a beautiful public park along Bayview called Lake Wilcox 9 minutes drive south of the restaurant with a view of the lake. Nice park for kids to play. Park gets very busy on the weekends so go during the weekdays if you can.
A nice day trip to go uptown for anyone.

Read moreWaited a lot for staff to attend to us despite the restaurant not being very full (only half the tables were occupied).
When we first arrived into the restaurant, we were standing by the entrance for about 7-10 mins before staff approached us. They could all see us standing there and waving at them, but wouldn't talk to us. We had a reservation.
Then we were finally taken to a table that wasn't even cleaned (still had previous customers dishes and table had to be wiped). So then we stood there while they cleaned the table. They didn't even do this properly as there were crumbs and spills all over the table after they "cleaned" it, forcing me to grab some tissues and clean it myself.
We were given menus and pens to order. We quickly noted down what we wanted but we waited for over 30 mins (we timed it) before we could finally give our order in. There was a family that came into the restaurant about 10 minutes after we did, and they were already eating by the time we gave our order in.
The first person who brought us our order brought the wrong items. So we had to try and get his attention to let him know. Finally he ended up asking us to order all our items again on a new menu. 20 minutes after ordering we finally have our soups and our items, but many things are missing, notably the skewers. The table beside us was being served skewers all night long. Despite us asking staff about our missing items, we never got them. Once we finished the items we did receive we decided to get the bill and leave ASAP after bring frustrated with the poor service.
I'm not sure if this is a race thing? My friend and I are visibly South Asian, and the family I mentioned above that got service before we did was East Asian. We were repeatedly ignored by staff despite us trying to get their attention.
I would not come to this location ever again. There are much better hotpot restaurants for much better prices...
Read moreWe tried the All You Can Eat option at Ye Skewers Hot Pot Aurora for $22 (plus tax), and kids under 12 were $16.89. It was a great experience overall! we were three friends who went there
We ordered a variety of items including oxtail, chicken heart, beef wrapped enoki, cow tongue, and chose both the spicy beef broth and the legend spicy broth. The broths had a strong kick—spicy but flavorful.
We also got enoki mushrooms, bamboo, potato slices, beef meatballs, bacon, imitation crab, squid, pork stomach, spicy pork ribs, and grilled chicken. For dessert, the green tea ice cream was a nice touch.
The space was clean and comfortable. It was quiet when we arrived, but started to fill up after 7 PM. They also offered a free fruit and dipping sauce bar, which was a nice bonus.
You fill out a paper pamphlet with your food choices and hand it to the staff. Service was smooth and easy.
Overall, a solid hot pot experience with lots of variety and good value for the price. Would recommend for a casual dinner night out The place don’t feel like for a full five star rating, but it was...
