I would say this is a so-so kind of restaurant. It is a bit pricey for the quality of food being served. We probably came in a bad time because the pizza crust was soggy and the toppings were falling off. The alfredo pasta was bland that even my daughter did not eat much even she loves everything pasta/noodles. The sweet potato fries was good though but then again be ready to pay around $6-$7 for it, if I am not mistaken. Also,we were still eating when the staff gave us the bill without us even asking for it yet. We were not certain wether they will have to close or something (mind you this is in the early afternoon and we have been eating probably less than 20) but that pressured us a bit to just eat faster and pack the rest of the food. Note that you have limited options for a good resto in this town, so I encourage you to still try this place if you suddenly craved for an Italian food. Like what I said, maybe the time we visited was not one if their best time of service. I can see other people having good experience in the resto, so let this not discourage you. I am just sharing what happened during our single visit.

Don't let this dated 70s facade fool you. Go in and order a pizza or pasta. You won't be disappointed. We stopped here to just grab a bite. We considered some other more modern restaurants along the strip road but decided that Vito's had potential. We were not disappointed. The staff was kind and attentive. Food service was reasonable. And most importantly the food was delicious. I generally don't like a thick crust pizza but this one was delicious, fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Cheese was stringy just as it should be. it's unfortunate that such good food has to hide behind such tasteless decor, but we tried it and it was one of our top meals in Bancroft! Shout out to our amazing server. She was great with the kids and topped off my coffee just at the right times.

Eating here was as authentic Italian food as going to McDonald's for a great burger. The food was tasteless, had no seasoning and would would make any true Italian cringe The decor was dated and hadn't been changed since opening in 1980. Very drab in appearance and dull in experience. My "delightfully fresh" appetizer was from frozen and cooked in a microwave to a scalding temperature, ruining the texture and taste of the meal itself. I hate laziness. Placing a huge roll of brown paper towels on the counter next to the sink under the receptacle that is meant to hold it, and it itself is empty. Next door is a fish and chips place, I recommend going there as they deliver what they advertise The back of the menu is a full page blow-hard do to to Vito. No wifi

Clean, good food, and good service. Everything you can ask for from a restaurant business.

There was no one else in the restaurant when we arrived at around 3:00. Which was very surprising as this review should help a lot of others take note of this fabulous place.

I ordered the two piece fish and chips and a side fries for my girlfriend. The fries were VERY hot. Very fresh as well as the fish. Nothing beats hot food right off the grill. The fries weren't very salty but that is easy to fix with your own salt or the given packets they give you. The fish was tasty and had a very well done batter. The portion size is phenomenal for the price. And they are quite the size of fries.

The waitress that was talking with us while we waiting for our take out was very friendly. All sorts of conversations from local fishing to surrounding businesses. I insisted on tipping for the water, but she insisted it was good to just talk to people. Exceptional service, other businesses should take note.

The store was clean, I didn't check the bathrooms but given the state of the dining area I probably didn't need to. I couldn't see a piece of food or anything anywhere.

This restaurant deserves more, much much more attention than...

The only reason i can give this place 2 stars is because the first night we went there for take out the staff was friendly and the food (lasagna) was awesome. The 2nd night though, we decided to go eat in for mothers day, it was really busy. The wait staff sat us and it took over 15 mins to ask us what we wanted to drink to start so we knew we were in for a long night. The appies came a long time after that and the waitress there seemed like she didnt care at all about us as we never got asked for refills on our water or pops. We asked her for a jug after food came and while we were eating my mother found a hair in her appy. We told the waitress and she took the food away (didnt say sorry or anything). After that the main meals came and again my mother had hair in her salad. She took it up to the bar to return it and ask for the bill after this. The bill still had the hairy appy on it and the waitress only bothered to take the salad off and once again not a sorry or anything. The waitress was terrible, the wait time was atrocious, and customer service overall was seriously lacking. Sadly i dont see another return...
