My family and my friend’s family visited this bakery last Saturday around lunchtime, and unfortunately, it completely ruined our day. While the food itself was good, the service was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. The staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional throughout our visit.

I waited over 40 minutes for our order, which included both food and drinks. When I finally asked about it, they admitted they had forgotten our order — just ours. While I understand that mistakes happen, what shocked me was their attitude. There was no apology, just a cold, “Your order got missed. We will get your order soon.”

When the drinks finally arrived, they were wrong. My kid’s drink was dangerously hot, while my matcha was cold — likely mixed up. I didn’t say anything, trying to be patient. But then things got worse. We were told the bread we had ordered (which was clearly in the display case when we ordered) had been sold to someone else who came in after us. Again, no apology — just a dismissive, “(sigh) We can get you a different one.”

The entire experience was deeply frustrating and disappointing. I couldn’t help but wonder whether this treatment was given to everyone or if it was racially motivated, as we are Asian. Regardless, the staff’s lack of basic courtesy and respect was unacceptable.

This bakery turned what should have been a fun day in Banff into a sour memory. I WILL NEVER GO BACK, and I hope they seriously reconsider how they treat...

Received terrible service here from the older man with the long white hair. We ordered a bowl of soup and a pre-made wrap that was in the case. The wrap just needed to be taken out of the case and put on a plate. For some reason, this man just refused to fill our order. I stood there and watched him skip over our ticket multiple times. Another order would come in and he’d take it and put it in front of ours. This happened about 6 times - so much that he ended up giving out the last bowl of soup to someone who had ordered after us, even though it was on our order. Because we were waiting so long, 2 other employees came to check on us and I watched him tell them he was doing ours. The second time, he got rude with the other employee, prepared our ticket (minus the soup I had bought, since he’d already given the last of that away 🥴) and then pointedly gave it out to some random woman. It seemed like he was pissed off that other employees were checking on him, so he did this on purpose?? It was incredibly bizarre. Honestly my only explanation was maybe this old guy gets really high before his shift because the whole experience was so weird. Incredibly frustrating. And the food we finally received (minus the soup I bought) was boring and not at all worth...

My family is on vacation from the U.S. and came to the location in downtown Banff. We waited for at least 15 minutes for a quick bite. After ordering, 3 people ordered breakfast sandwiches. The sandwiches were warm but the big issue is the sandwiches were only toasted on one side of the bread. So half was warm and toasted. The other side had melted butter and was a piece of bread. The last person got a grilled cheese sandwich. It was ordered with only cheese on it. It was also only toasted on one side and it had tomato jam on it when I asked for only cheese. I went to counter and waited for 7 minutes and no one asked if I needed help. I was standing there with a plate with a half toasted sandwich and they all cared less. The cashier finally came and took my plate and “retoasted” it. I waited 1.30 ( what it said on toaster)to be toasted. It was no better. Was not asked if it was ok. This entire experience was terrible. Don’t waste your money. I did enjoy the berry muffin I had this morning. Please find some where else to...

In Banff for a couple of days. Took some time to stroll through the mainstreet area of town. Lots of cute shops and restaurants. The place was busy, and very hot. I mean super, uncomfortable HOT. My spouse had to wait outside before they overheated. There was a bit of a line, so it took some time to actually place my order. Lots of yummy looking bakery items. They also were selling some packaged chocolate bars, which looked interesting, so I got a couple of those. Looking for an unsweetened iced tea, and all they had was made up sweet teas. The suggestion was to get a tea, steep it, and pour it over ice. That was okay, but not as good (or cold) as what might have been cold steeped in a large container. Not sure if this is a place that I would return to.

This place is so good we went twice during our one week stay. The second time we went we tried to get extra pastry to bring on the road and they were sold out so fast! We ordered the cranberry twist and the cinnamon morning bun with lemon cream (I think that was the name?) and those two were our favorites. I think they change up the menu often because we couldn't get the morning bun the second day 😭😭😭 The chocolate croissant was huge but didn't have too much chocolate, and the fig and parmesan scone was a little on the hard side (not for everyone but I liked the flavor all the same). The coffee is great as well, ordered flat white and latte and both was nice and strong and creamy. This place is a must visit! Expect a line but it moves quick.

We came here for a light lunch before skiing in the afternoon. We each got the full lunch meal, which was a sandwich, a soup or salad, and a choice of cookie. We each got the grilled cheese. While a kid would probably have not liked it, it was a good grilled cheese (a bit more elevated and for an adult). The soup and salads of the day were both just okay (I got one and my wife got the other). Neither of us finished those because it wasn’t worth it. Cookie - my wife got the chocolate salted cookie and I got the chocolate chip. We both liked the richness of the salted chocolate cookie more. But both were good. I’d probably stick with the coffees or pastries from here rather than doing a full meal deal. My wife loved her vanilla latte.
