Fox's Bakery And Delicatessen — Restaurant in Barrie

In places that rely on visitors I'm always wary that I'll get ripped off and often the food is not very good. I refer to this type of cuisine as "tourist food"

Fox's is none of that. Great prices, friendly employees, and tasty products.

They have the daily specials which are a good option to get you in the door but beyond that there's bins of single items (bagels, rolls, etc) and also packages for pastries, muffins, etc. I bought a huge bag of sausage rolls (hot dog buns) for 99¢!!

The deli counter has a big selection but I recommend the "sub mix" which is a grab bag of various meats at a cheaper price than doing them individually. $1.29/100 grams.

There are also cookies for sale at the cash register. I got an oatmeal one for $1.25. Not the best I ever had but it was huge and a great price.

I walked my rolls, cookie, and meat/cheese down to the waterfront and had a nice picnic. 3 meals for a total of $10 AND they won't pressure you to tip 25% like all the bland generic patios are doing these days.

I Love Shopping at Fox's Bakery and Delicatessen. From Outside, You can see that Fox's is a Big building, Yet, Once inside the doors the Storefront seems Small. Just to the Right, there is a large Delicatessen cooler with many people in front of it pointing out fresh meats, cheeses, etc. to the many friendly busy people behind it wrapping up orders. All around the rest of the store there is shelves and bins with lots of people selecting freshly baked goods. There is a large freezer, where I always buy Four to Six "Frozen balls of Already mixed, Unbaked Pizza Dough!" As this dough is the Best I've ever tasted and it's All Ready for me to make a great Pizza, anytime. I always make sure that I have Fox's Pizza Dough in my freezer, for whenever Someone says "Hey, Want to buy a Pizza?" With Fox's Pizza Dough already made, I just love making homemade Pizzas, Now! I can’t say enough great things about this gem of a bakery!
