Great Canadian Bagel — Restaurant in Barrie

Bagels were awesome, different from getting some in the grocery store. Service was horrible though. My girlfriend and I ordered a sandwich, but wanted extra tomatoes (since our one tiny slice on the sandwich already wasn't enough), and they told us they had run out. No more tomatoes for anyone for the rest of the day apparently! Continued on to order a salad. They kept the lettuce in water, but didn't bother drying them off AT ALL, so the dressing they put on ended up getting washed off to the bottom of our plate. And as we were sitting down with our watery salad and sandwiches that weren't made to our liking, the worker brought out a huge tub of tomatoes, like seriously? They could have at least waited for us to leave the shop. Horrible customer service, and we've been telling all our friends not to go there.. hope you don't ruin an outting/money...

Came in for 2 Bagels, told them my order, waited in line for 10 minutes, only then for them to tell me they will be another 10-20 minutes just to slice a piece of salmon... Wish they would have told me when I placed the order and before I waited for 10 minutes.. It was the same person as well, so they knew what my order was. But for some reason they didn't... I left with only 1 Bagel, as 10-20 minutes to cut a piece of smoked salmon is ridiculous (on top of the 10 minutes I already waited). Had the other bagel with someone else as soon as I left and it tasted horrible and stale. How disappointing. considering how much you pay for 1 bagel.. Will not be returning

Also to add - while I was waiting in line I saw how they make the egg - it is microwaved.. Just so others are aware what they pay for, quality does not...

Walked in after school around 4-5pm was little dinghy/dated, not well lit or specifically clean, not the end of the world…. Flys all over the French toast bagels… oh well, those are for the birds, also not the biggest deal….

Ordered two sesame bagels toasted with cream cheese, I had to ask how much first , because their menu shows bagels in 6 or 9 quantity prices….anyways….

I was told $16 and change for two bagels and cream cheese. No drinks, no cookies, two bagels and bought in bulk, served from giant tubs cream cheese.

There are 3 ingredients in a bagel….. $16….

Years back, great place with quality bagels made with care. The kinda place that looked like a dive but you went back because the food was good….
