I was at the location this morning and had the absolute worst customer service Iâve ever had. my order was what I would call âa pain in the buttâ bc I order venti cold brew with 4 shot sf vanilla syrup, 1 shot caramel syrup, almond milk and light drizzle of caramel sauce. I get it, itâs probably annoying and I apologized for my order by saying âsorryâ. I go to wait for my drink and the woman making my drink made it in a grande cup and I said oh sorry itâs supposed to be a venti, she told me âwe do not make venti nitros, company policyâ oh ok no worries âIâm sorry to bother you but I ordered a cold brew not a nitroâ she said ânopeâ and pointed to the sticker on my cup which was labeled nitros cold brew. dumped the nitro and poured me a new cold brew in same cup and made my drink quickly and I had to ask her if she put the syrups in bc she didnât at first, so she adds the shots then she then shoved the drink at me During the course of this I apologized 3 times to her for asking her to give me the drink I ordered, I paid for a grande nitro cold brew but I asked for venti cold brew. No issues with the woman taking order but clearly she shouldâve read my order back to me to make corrections, as every time they read it back. not a big deal had the barista not been so rude to me. In my experience, any Starbucks employee has gone and fixed a drink with no questions, no problem what so ever. This woman was unreal. Honestly it really upset me to the point of leaving and fuming about it and driving home to articulate an email. Yes I could have gone and argued but that is not who I am and did not want to make a scene as she was rude and honestly, vile. I was patient and never rude, I am always very kind to anyone in any customer service position as I know people can be pretty difficult, I mean I apologized 3 times for THEIR mistake! Iâve been a customer for I would say 20-25 yrs and have NEVER had a negative experience with Starbucks, so maybe thatâs why this upset me so much, either way it...
Read moreOn a cool November night, my 2011 Ford Focus drove my accomplice and I to the humble abode that was the Mapleview Drive West Starbucks. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a sweet, heavenly voice that we soon attributed to the one and only barista named Jessica. Despite my futile, annoying contributions to her already challenging night, Jessica showed no trouble in curating a delectable drink that reflected my persona: a Grande Iced Peppermint White Mocha. The taste of this beverage cannot be described within human constructs: its flavour profile may only be represented by the narrative of a frozen Christmas night plagued by the traumas of a childhood past. I shall illustrate this scene for you. You, a child alone on a frozen winter lake, orchestral music playing behind you. Youâre cold, alone and scared, but in the distance you see a warm light. A fire that attracts your barren and frigid body, this light is Jessica the Barista.
Jessicaâs barista skills and coffee artistry are not the only things worth noting. If there were to be an award for stellar customer service, Jessica would be the only nominee and sole recipient. Her work is on par with the worlds most generous philanthropists. I would even compare her to Mahatma Ghandi. Her smile tells a story and her fabrication of delectable drinks transports you to a place far beyond human comprehension. It is my personal believe that if everyone was like Jessica, the world would know no chaos, no war and all human societal conflict would be deminished.
So please thank you Jessica, you have made two stress filled, overworked troubled teenagers very happy. Your work extends beyond the realm of the Mapleview West Dr Starbucks and should be recognized globally.
God bless you Jessica.
Sincerely,
Your...
Read moreI love visiting this place because all the drinks are delicious. However, today I had a bad experience with the drive-through service. One staff member who was taking orders had placed a sign by the machine, but I misunderstood it to mean that the machine was broken and couldnât take orders. I went directly to the pickup window, and a staff member opened the door and told me I had to go back to the machine to order first. I explained with a smile that I thought the machine was out of order because there was a sign, but the staff clarified it was only the card payment that wasnât working, not the machine itself. Despite that, they abruptly asked what I wanted to drink, interrupting me as I tried to order. For instance, while I was saying, âI would like the venti, the biggest size,â the employee interjected, âSo what, what drink?â as if rushing me to specify which drink I wanted. This rude attitude really hurt my feelings. I am usually impressed with the kindness at Starbucks, so todayâs experience was particularly upsetting and hard to understand. The female employeeâs gestures also seemed like she had a headache, but it was unclear if it was because she was feeling unwell or if she disliked me. It made me feel quite uncomfortable. Upset, I asked for her name, and I think it was Sarah.
I called and spoke with the manager, but it felt like I was talking to a machine. The manager said she would talk to the employee and apologized, but it didnât seem sincere. Her response was so formal and brief, it felt sharp in my ears, as if my call was pointless and unappreciated. Now I understand why the staff under such a manager could be unfriendly and rude to customers. I donât want to go back to...
