A&W Canada — Restaurant in British Columbia

This is the second time I have seen someone making food, walk up to the counter, touch the register and return to make food without washing their hands. I love A&W food - but the unhealthy practices of your staff at this location are absolutely unacceptable. I brought this incident to the person whom I was going to order from (which I never did) and let her know of what I had witnessed. She then went and spoke with the female who was making food with unwashed hands and she just stared at the counter looking for who had said that. So I let her know of what I had seen. Ultimately, if you work in the food industry, I know you provide Food Safety training to your employees, but having this being a recurrent incident in this location makes you question the training, the hiring and the management or ownership. Behind the counter was complete chaos – no strong leadership and untrained employees turning out incorrect orders and making customers who ordered 15 minutes ago wait while they put out food for customers who ordered a minute or two ago. Prioritization is not there.

Additionally, yes, it is a food court, but employees were hopping between tills giving people no clear direction where to line up. 3 people cut in front of me before I finally had to tell someone off for saying that they were there first. Not the kind of interaction I want to have when I am just trying to get a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Very frustrating experience and I'm definitely not coming back. Maybe this is just the breakfast roster but wow....

I had an amazing experience at A&W! The food was incredibly delicious, especially the classic Root Beer, which was perfectly chilled and refreshing.
