While I enjoy analog downtown, the southcentre location is terrible. On Sunday my friend and I ordered two small black coffees and a scone. The total came to 9.70 (or so). I handed over $50 bill. The lady took it and gave me back $30 and some change...I asked if I will get the rest of the money to what she said that it’s the right amount, turned around and walked away without giving us the coffee or the scone. Another staff member walked up and asked what the problem is, so we told her that we got shorted $10, so she gave us the remaining change. At this point we are still waiting for the order as we are watching the first chick serve other people who were in line behind us. Eventually we were given one cup of coffee (again, we ordered two small plain black coffees), so we had to ask again for the rest of the order. The scone was shoved into my hands and she told me that their computer only has option for $40...as that makes it acceptable to short people money lol.. Literally, all she had to do is give me my change and not walk away and start serving other people...well...and preferably not...
Read moreThis cafe is located in Southcentre mall, ground floor level. I've ordered a mocha latte, ham and cheese croissant, and ginger molasses cookie.
The service was great, friendly, quick, and definitely well staffed as my visit was busy. This place provides seating across and to the side for a little privacy; this also has washroom (washrooms in southcentre i know are only foodcourt).
The mocha latte was excellent, it had the right amount of creaminess, balanced of sweetness from the mocha; unlike in other cafe locations were the sweetness level is off the charts.
The ham and cheese croissant was also satisfying with a minor setback that it wasn't warm enough on the inside leaving a warm on the outside and that cold bite of the ham. I would still recommend it, but just let the staff know to warm it up a little longer.
The ginger molasses has a unique taste and sweetness to it, but it is up to my alley for taste and sweetness.
Overall, I would visit this place again and try out...
Read morePlease read my review carefully. My coffee came out great, thanks to the cute little red headed barista behind the coffee machine, but my moment was ruined when I watched this cute barista get absolutely harassed by, who I think was, the manager on duty. The manager on duty was this mousey looking brunette, who seemed to have a bit of an attitude when I was ordering my Trad cap. Then when going over to area where I can pick up my beverage I had the unfortunate pleasure of watching her also harass (through berating her and overly micromanaging someone who knew what they were doing) one of the barista that delivered me one of the best Trad caps I've ever had.
If upper management can look into this, this would be greatly appreciated. Any sort of hierarchical harassment infront of guests is completely unacceptable. (This occured April 20th...
