I genuinely hate giving bad reviews, but every bad review you see about overcharging (ALMOST in my case) and miscommunication is true. I wish to give you guys the benefit of the doubt, but I need to share the mental breakdown I nearly had with this incident. I’m sure you all are great people and we all have horrible days where we make mistakes but there NEEDS to be better communication because this simply CANNOT happen again.
I reserved for 3 people over the phone. I get there with my two friends and I say I have a reservation for 3 people along with my name (even with my 3 fingers up). Guy brings me to the room and all 3 of us are surprised like why is this a huge room that could house all the spider-people from Into The Spider-Verse LOL? I obviously leave to talk to him about it why the room is so big when I just reserved for 3 people. He tells me I reserved for 20-24 people. HUH? I emphasize I called 30 minutes ago and said 3 people… there’s a chance the guy on the phone got it wrong because he couldn’t even spell my name right 5 times. He tells me I can’t change the room and I’m like… um ok I’ll just go then. He tells me I still have to pay for the room so I ask how much it is. Imagine my jaw dropping when I see that he’s trying to get me to front a room I never requested for $240+? I get it, he assumed I was the person who did request it.
Thankfully the actual big group came in and I’m not sure how you get Britney out of my 2 letter name. He realized his mistake and apologized a couple times. The same guy asked me how they would get 20-24 out of 3… I don’t know, you tell me how you get Britney from my name!
I wasn’t given anything else other than the apology. It was a wild and disheartening first experience to say the least. Who knows if the big group never came and what could’ve transpired. That being said, please… do communicate with your customers better and ensure you have the right person. This might just be an isolated experience, but that could’ve had serious consequences that both the business and customer do not need...
Read moreThis was my first time here. I came for a birthday party for my best friend. This was one of the most epic and awesome experiences I have ever had. It's almost like your in your own world jamming out totally privately, even though the loud noise still travels outside the rooms.
Each crazy epic sing along lasts for about 2-4minutes. Use the book and type in codes for which song you want. Tons of choices. You can also type the name of the artist or the name of the song manually into the remote and search that way. Tons of options on song selection. No issues with the subtitles at all. Super cool experience because the main room light goes dark and disco light goes off when you start a song. And it turns off when you end. Creating a super fun atmosphere once you get going. There is a drink and a good money, any sharables are always a good pick.the fruity cocktail vase slushy was great, we chose passionfruit flavour and it was excellent. We also ordered the loaded waffle fries and the squid rings. Both tasted great inside while we were jamming out.
We showed up tonight for an 8-11pm appointment and we used up all 3hours, they flew by, we were a party of 3 by the end of it. Started with 5 people. We were offered a 15 minute extension at the end of our time, then we decided to add on another hour since we were having a blast. No problems super chill and easy person at the front desk to deal with.
We are very happy with our experience. I will be back with...
Read moreOverall with the poor service, the mediocre song binder, and the ridiculously high hourly cost ($70/hr??!) of the karaoke room, I'd suggest going to Galaxy Karaoke or Nanta Karaoke before ever coming to Bacchus again.
FOOD/DRINKS: Dry ribs were great; drinks were a bit expensive.
MENU: Their menu is inaccurate (and could be updated if they cared, as it's only printed on plain paper) and a number of things we ordered were unavailable.
KARAOKE: The large karaoke room was clean; English song choices were limited, binders last updated April 2018; song binder was organzized only by song name, which made it harder to find songs; they only provided one binder in the large room, which meant everyone had to wait to look through; the karaoke system is all Korean
STAFF: the waitress didn't come even once without being called in 4 hours, and then when we did call she often took more than 15 mins to respond; the waitress was unfriendly and acted increasingly annoyed and inconvenienced each time we wanted to order more...
