It is actually my first time to leave a negative review, so you know I was totally pissed and disappointed. We went here during Stampede, and on our way there, we ordered through Uber pick-up as we are scared to missed to get here on time as it’s almost closing and we were thinking it might be better to use a pick-up feature so once we get there, we will just sit for few moment to eat what we ordered as we were totally starving. When we get there and the guy approached us for our order, we mentioned that we ordered some food on app and we will order more directly to him, by this time, we were thinking that the food that we ordered online will be almost ready and we can finally start to eat, and just order more in person (like rice bowls, and beer as we got excited that they are still open for the next hour as they extended they hours coz of Stampede). Afterwards, the guy mentioned that we cannot eat in store if we ordered online (and we were like seriously??? What was wrong if we ordered on the same restaurant and paid them, but through the app) It doesn’t make sense at all!!!! Then I was so tired & hungry dealing with this nonsense snd bullshit excuse so I’m like you know what, just get my order (so I ordered both in Uberapp & in store, thinking that I can ask for cancellation and refund on the app). However, when I asked him to cancel the online order on his end, he said he cannot do it and I need to contact Uber customer service, and I started to questioned myself???? I worked on fast food before so don’t play with me. Fast forward, I contacted Uber and they said in order for me to get a full refund, store can cancel on their end and I showed the conversation to the staff and he still double check my phone and did not believe me, but afterwards, I think he has no more excuses as he was trapped, and HE CANCELLED IT!! So they ‘re totally lying that they can’t cancel so I won’t get refund. Then my friend who also tried to order online but DIDN ‘T ASK FOR HIS ORDER TO BE CANCELLED, still got cancel coz he knows that we were together!! His order was almost ready (based on the app) and when my friend approached them, they said they haven’t started the order that was being prepared for 20 mins already based on the Uber app, they also reasoned out the they are out of stock, reason why they cancelled .
Moving forward, too many negative things still happened. ~ we got small portion of rice for $3ish, I know how much portion supposedly as I often eat at B.bq chicken ~ my friend’s cocktail drink was missed, so she waited longer, though the server gave her 2 drinks (1 is free) but nobody else drinks that ~ one of the server was on hurry collecting plates, and either the plate or cutlery fell on my friend’s WHITE cowboy hat, though server insisted to clean it but still.. ~ they still charged us extra for gratuity of 18% as we were over 6 people, which we agreed to before we dine in, but, with all of these reviews or I would say poor service, really, still charge us that much gratuity??? And only gave us free drink.
I’m so sorry but we will never come back here again. I love Bbq chicken but never again on this location again!! For the owner, please have the staffs trained with the level of service they should have...
Read moreI’ve been here twice now, and although I really do want to give this place a 5 star rating - I can’t right now. The chicken is really good, and the staff are super nice and polite. However, the service is extremely (EXTREMELY) slow. The first time I came here I gave them the benefit of the doubt... however after my second experience I’m feeling very irritated.
I understand they make their food fresh, and therefore the wait is a little longer. So after my first experience of ordering on the spot... this time I decided to call ahead of time so I can avoid the 30 minute wait. I called 10 minutes prior to opening, and they told me on the phone since they don’t open until noon, my order won’t be ready until 12:20. Ok great - totally understandable. So I arrive at 12:20 and was told to wait a few minutes more... okay fine... that is until I found myself waiting an additional 20 minutes on top. What made it even worse was when the waitress asked for my order number again and I realized it was 001. Meaning I was the FIRST order of the day... meanwhile I stood there for 20 minutes watching as all the rest of the 10+ orders after me picking up.
I’m pretty dumfounded as to how this could’ve happened and how on earth it takes so long to get a fried chicken order. Never have I experienced this at any other fried chicken spot. I’m really disappointed as I tried my best to avoid waiting around by calling ahead of time... but still found myself waiting for 20 minutes AFTER the stated pickup time. This was also during a weekday lunch hour, meaning I had to return to work. It’s completely frustrating to have my efforts in trying to optimize my lunch hour go out the window.
So, to the BB.Q chicken owners - PLEASE take a good look at your operations and figure out a way to streamline it. I know I’m not the only one with this complaint as it’s pretty evident just reading the other reviews. I really do appreciate the food and the staff here.. so please put some effort into figuring out a better way of preparing your orders more efficiently. Unfortunately even if the food is good... I probably won’t return if I know if it would take forever to get my food each...
Read moreI recently had placed an order on skip the dishes from bb.q chicken. When I received my order, the manager of the restaurant had contacted me right away to inform me that the courier had grabbed the wrong order. I received two fried chicken sandwiches, instead of my 6pc and boneless order. I was definitely bummed that I didn’t get my order, but told the manager it was fine and ate the sandwiches. They were also really really good, the chicken was still amazingly crispy.
Later in the evening, I was contacted again by the manager and she had comped my next meal, which she did not have to do at all!! I was comped with 12pc chicken, boneless chicken, and an appetizer. They went above and beyond which is extremely generous of them.
Today I picked up my order, and added some pickled radish and sauce on the side. I was hoping to leave a tip by credit card for their generous act, but they also gave that to me on the house! I didn’t have any cash on me to tip them, so I will definitely be ordering again very soon to thank them for this!!

I ordered the sir chicken and mala hot chicken, as well as onion rings. Everything tasted delicious! I’m a pretty picky fried chicken eater, so I am impressed at how many different flavors they offer. The chicken itself was super super crunchy, crispy, and flavourful! Onion rings were sooo good as well, not stringy pieces of onion like most places are. Soft but crispy and just so good.
I’m so so grateful for this experience and grateful for their generosity. Their food is delicious, and their customer service is above and beyond.
