Coffee: 5/5 Service: 3/5 Ambience: 5/5 Price: 4/5
This coffee place has a fantastic location with a decently sized seating area. Large windows overlook the streets below.
Location only gets you so far though, and it's the quality of the product that ultimately is the most important. Fortunately, Caffe Trieste provides excellent coffee worthy of a 5-star rating in that category. Note that their almond milk is heavily sweetened, so if you're looking for an almond milk latte or similar without any sweetness, you may want to go elsewhere.
The service is good here, but at the time that we went, there was only one employee who was struggling to work the cash, prepare the food, and also pour the coffees for everyone in the cafe. As a result, we did have to wait about 10 minutes, which honestly is an exceptional feat for one person considering how busy the place was. Management should loosen the purse strings a bit and at least bring on a second person during busy times.
The price was okay, although slightly more expensive than at places...
Read moreSee my updated post below - Rudely spoken to by a guy working there who took slight to us having our own chocolate while I was having a single espresso. Told briskly to "place it out of sight' I was completely embarrassed by this encounter as my sister and were enjoying our afternoon at this establishment. Quite uncalled for as I had paid such high compliments earlier to the kind lady who took my order that had heard such good things about the cafe and finally got to try it as my upon earlier attempts were unsuccessful as the cafe was closed. What a shame this persons rudeness spoiled the experience for me and my sister.
July 5th 2025 Came back to the Cafe, spoke to the Manager and he explained the company policy regarding outside food and its issues. I appreciated his point of view as he explained it in a very polite and friendly manner. He also related to my concerns as well. Thanks for handling the issue with sensitivity and I will be happy to return to your lovely Cafe, also will be considerate of your no outside food policy...
Read moreusually don't like to leave bad reviews but I legitimately left this place confused. The prices are way too high considering the portions and the service. My friend and I ordered the bruschetta (20 dollars) to share, as it was under sharables on the menu. We recieved two very small pieces of bread each alongside a tiny mug of bruschetta. The quality was fine but the price was ridiculous. I also didn't have a great experience with the coffee I ordered, it was mostly milk. The barista was nice enough, but I didn't feel like the service matched up to the prices. He didn't bring the food over to our table, which at lots of places I would understand, however for the price point and the fact that the cafe was basically empty I just did not understand why. I understand that that is probably not his fault as an individual, I just feel like that is a standard which should have been met. I work in the food and service industry and my experience here to be honest was sort of laughable, I probably won't be...
