Visit: November 2024 The momos here were delicious and very filling, and at a very affordable price! Each momo dish came with 10 "dumplings". We found that we enjoyed the crispier momos more than the steamed, though the steamed momo was also good We had the tandoori with chicken, Timur with mutton, jhol with mutton, and chili with paneer & vegetables. We found the tandoori with chicken and Timur with mutton to be the best. The exterior was really crispy and fillings were delicious. The chili was good too, but would likely have been better with a meat interior, rather than the vegetable and paneer. The chili sauce also made the exterior softer and less crispy, but it was still good. The jhol was light and much easier on the stomach in comparison to the crispier momos. The bright yellow sauce was appealing and had strong sesame/nut eartht tones, and the steamed momos were delightful with it. There was also two tomato based sauces, one spicy and one less spicy, which worked well with the momos to add depth, flavour, richness, and spiciness. We got medium spice with the momos that gave the options, and found that it was pretty on the nose for medium spice Overall, great place and would definitely come back for more!

Calgary Momo House offers a truly authentic Nepalese dining experience right in the heart of the city. The moment you step in, you're greeted by the warm and welcoming ambiance that sets the stage for a culinary journey to Nepal. The momos, the star of the menu, are crafted with care, boasting delicate, perfectly steamed dumplings packed with flavorful fillings. The spiciness and seasoning balance is spot-on, showcasing the traditional Nepalese palate. The dipping sauces elevate the experience, each bringing a unique flavor profile that complements the momos wonderfully. Beyond the food, the friendly staff adds to the authentic feel, often sharing stories about the dishes and their origins. The menu is diverse, offering more than just momos, with other classic Nepalese dishes that cater to various tastes. For anyone looking to explore Nepalese cuisine in Calgary, Momo House is a must-visit.

I recently visited Calgary momo house, and it was an absolute delight! I tried the platter chicken momos, and they were perfect—soft, juicy, and packed with flavor. The accompanying dipping sauces were a wonderful complement, adding just the right amount of spice and tang. I also sampled the fried momos, which had a delightful crispy exterior while still maintaining their juicy filling. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that I had everything I needed for an enjoyable meal. The service was quick, and the presentation of the dishes was impeccable. Overall, Calgary momo house exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you're a momo enthusiast or trying them for the first time, this place is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings!

We recently visited this restaurant for a family dinner as it’s conveniently located closer to our home compared to the NE location. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming — perfect for a family outing.

The Momo itself was nicely prepared, but I personally felt the sauce could be improved. The tomato-based sauce tasted very plain, almost like simple tomato paste without the usual spices and flavors that make Momo sauce so special. Since I’ve been enjoying Momo for nearly two decades, I know that the sauce is what truly elevates the dish — and here, it didn’t quite meet expectations. The hot sauce also lacked the depth of flavor we’ve experienced at other Momo restaurants. Because of that, we ended up packing half of our food to bring home.

That said, everything else — the staff, service, and overall dining experience — was very good. I would kindly recommend the restaurant to enhance the flavor of the Momo sauce, which would make their Momos truly outstanding. With such great service and atmosphere already in place, a more flavorful sauce would make this restaurant a top spot for...

The first time I ever tried momos was at their other location. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting ambiance that set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. I love to try a variety of their momos. The Johl and Tandoori momos were absolute standouts, bursting with authentic Nepalese flavors. The butter chicken was also an absolute delight, with a rich, creamy sauce that complemented the tender, juicy chicken perfectly. What truly sets Calgary Momo House apart, however, is the exceptional hospitality of the staff. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Whether you're a seasoned Nepalese food enthusiast or new to the cuisine, I highly recommend giving Calgary Momo House a try. With its authentic flavors, warm hospitality, and inviting ambiance, it is definitely a place that makes you feel at home.I highly recommend to anyone who hasn't tried momos to...
