Dewat East Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Calgary

We ordered goat biryani, it was tasty, but I would like to request the restaurant management to get the receptionist girl some awareness about the customer service and about the menu items. This would really make the restaurant perfect. I went in to pick up my order and said hi to her, she just ignored me because apparently she was doing something on the computer for the customer, which I understand, where she can say "just one second please or I'm helping someone right now or anything" she just ignored me went to the customer twice, after finishing with her she helped me, but communication is the key.

About food: while ordering we asked the receptionist about the quantity of the Biryani, she said it's only enough for one person. But It was good enough for 2 people easily. Also I confirmed with her what spice level it is, she said medium spicy, but it was very spicy..

I am visiting here and ordered my dinner delivered to my hotel. I ordered two tea as well and when I received the order they were missing. I called the restaurant and the lady over the phone was not willing to help at all. They refuse to reimburse me, refused to get it delivered and she told me either I can order few more things and she will give the tea with that or I can come pick it up. I already ordered everything I need and why would i orddr more pay the delivery and service fee for their mistake and if I have to go and pick it up why would get it delivered at first place. The thing is not the price but ethics that this business is lacking. Moreover I ordered aloo parantha for my son and in special instructions added non spicy. Used to be our favourite in the city, ordering at least twice a month, but lately the food has been completely disappointing. Dry, and bland biryani with a watery excuse for raita is unacceptable. Dry, gristly chicken is unacceptable. Watery butter chicken that tastes like diluted jar butter chicken sauce you get from the store. So gross! After a several chances given in case we ordered on an off day, we sadly have to call it quits and find a better restaurant. Do not recommend due to inconsistency and poor quality, as well as shady business practice of buying reviews/getting friends and family members to leave fake reviews in order to be dishonest. Hopefully the owner will take constructive criticism and one day we can try Dewat again. Sadly, with their morals I do not think that will...
