El-Rouhaa Pita Bakery & Restaurant — Restaurant in Calgary

The meat pies here are the best in Calgary. I don't know what it is but you will not find a meat pie shell like the one here anywhere else in the city. The best part is that they make them fresh every time. They also have a variety of pockets (steak and cheese being my favorite) which are also delicious albeit a bit pricier. Their donairs are also some of the best I've ever had in the city: they don't give you as much meat as you might get at Jimmy's or Calgary Shawarma, however the quality...

We stopped by after landing in Calgary as this bakery is very conveniently located near the airport and wasn’t sure what to expect and we were blown out of the water. The lady behind the counter (owner?) made the manaeech for us from scratch. They were amazing. Like being in Beirut. I don’t think I have been to a single place in North America that made me feel like I was at a forn in Beirut like this bakery.

I would give it 10...

Wheelchair accessible restaurant that offers a variety of Middle Eastern fare including donairs, shawarma, falafel, and various types of baked goods, including samosas , pita bread in two sizes, and little individual-sized pies with a variety of fillings like spinach and feta in addition to others.

The restaurant is clean and bright with large windows, and lots of seating for customers....
