As I begin to write this review, my saliva glands become active and I start to crave another mouth watering and savory Samosa pastry. These little packets of goodness are bursting with flavor, crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The thing that intrigued me most about this place was the fact that I showed up without first calling in to make an order, and the bakers made a large order for me fresh out of the oven in 10 minutes. They packed it neatly in a box which included a container of dipping sauce that truly complemented the already flavor packed and spicy little pockets of deliciousness. This little store offers 6 flavors, Vegetable, Beef, Chicken, Butter Chicken, and Cheese and Spinach which easily satisfies most demanding palettes. Online ordering is also available which makes it very convenient and easy to do business with this place. Party platters are also available for larger audiences and there are two locations in Calgary to order from. They also offer many other snacks such as pakoras and samosa salad etc...
The little bakery was clean and fresh smelling with no heavy oily cooking odors hanging in the air. The staff was attentive, friendly and efficient. The little 10 minute wait was well worth it. Further to all this, the price was realistic and fair. I highly recommend this very delicious little Samosa Factory bakery and will be...
Read moreHad the opportunity to buy Samasos here for my farewell party at work. Honestly, I was expecting a just a tiny bit better, but everything is really good. I liked every single bit of it.
Ordered medium beef and chicken samosas, which is 40 samosas in total for a good price. Taste excellent after ordering and after reheating the next day as well. Spicy sauce is included in the bundle for each order, and it was surprisingly good for someone who doesn't like spicy such as myself. It's not too greasy like other restaurants, which is definitely a plus!
Desserts are available if you want. Gonna try them out for my next visit!
Service is questionable. There's only 2 staff members working the cashier, and the lineup can be very BIG depending on the time you go here. I waited almost half an hour since it was very busy. Definitely recommend calling instead of ordering in front here since they only have 3 seats available to wait inside. The rest will have to stand or wait inside their car.
Parking is a HUGE disappointment here. They only have 3 dedicated parking spaces in front of the store and nowhere else. You can not park on the other stalls because it's dedicated to other businesses in the area.
Overall, food is excellent but lacks the convenience like some other...
Read moreCheck your orders before you leave. I recently ordered 3 dozen chicken samosas. When I got home, I found out that 2 dozen of the samosas were beef. I gave them a call back and lady on the phone was super apologetic. I returned back to the store and exchanged the beef samosas for chicken. I figured they couldn't screw up twice so I went back home without checking. Big mistake. Out of the 2 dozen new samosas, 50% of them were beef. I called back again, the lady on the phone was super embarrassed so she offered me 3 dozen chicken samosas on the house. She said that she would add that note to my account so I could pick them up the next day.
The next day I called back and spoke to a man. I'm not too sure what his position is but he was really confrontational. I told him my situation and even before I finished speaking he said that he would not give me what was promised. He said that the lady I spoke to was misinformed. I would of brushed the whole thing off but the guy acted like such an ass about the entire thing. Too bad. I won't be going back. I can't support a business that doesn't value it's customers. Seems like all he was worried about is saving...
