Decided to stay at the hotel for dinner. Was disappointed. Seafood soup was straight tomato& celery soup with a few tiny shrimps in it. Appetizer was okayy, bruschetta didn’t have any olive oil, which explains it’s far from being authentic Italian. And everything was very heavy on the Parmesan cheese.. Presentation of the food is very nice, which is deceiving, as the taste isn’t near as good. Lasagna was very average, especially for that price. Sausage penne was awful.. tried few bites and couldn’t continue. Sausage smelled and tasted very greasy & old.. told the very kind waitress, we didn’t want to wait another 20 mins for another shot at it.. told her to inform manager/cook, (a chance to correct). She threw away the $25 little penne and we still got charged for it in full. $80 for 2 without any drinks!.. Careless enough to charge for their food that they threw out & didn’t bother attempting to genuinely correct while the customer is right there! And only our table & 1 more in the whole restaurant to look after. Very disappointing. If it wasn’t for the waitress herself being kind, would’ve been 1 star rating. We wont return! And we don’t recommend.

Got Dine-in breakfast on a weekday. There was about 3 other people in the restaurant. After we ordered, the server took 20 minutes to tell me they didn't have any waffles left. Fine, ordered something else. My partner's food came a couple minutes later. It was missing many items. She always returned but we had to keep asking for the initial items we ordered. My food came about 15 minutes after that. Also missing the things I ordered on top of not having a knife and fork. Eventually we gave up on service and walked over to the hotel breakfast buffet (offered to hotel guests only) and started grabbing the breakfast condiments ourselves since our waitress couldn't manage. As for the food, despite everything showing up eventually, the food was still cold. Like she told me the toast will be another minute, then it shows up cold? The menu specified canadian bacon for the classic eggs benedict and what was actually served was groccery store ham. The hash browns were like hictory sticks without flavour. Shredded potatoes left to dry out in a chafing dish. Overall, I recommend eating out of the dumpster behind the hotel. Probably has better service anyway.

This restaurant has lost its charm from previous years and has become a dive. Place is dirty, half of the bar TV’s don’t work, all draft beer removed except one, food quality is stale, dry and not worth the prices. They have zero pop on tap and resort to the smallest selection of caned pop. The images and menu online are false advertisement as the prices are $5 more per item and the place looks nothing like the photos. There is only 1 employee left as the rest all quit and as per them they quit due to working conditions and not being paid on time. Apparently there is no Culinary Chef, it’s the manager in the back making the food, but will reply to comments here that he will pass on reviews to his culinary team. There is no team or culinary experience here. I was told the owner is cheap and won’t spend a dime on this restaurant. Service took 30+ minutes after ordering to receive meals and there was only one other customer. It’s a shame that a restaurant like this is connected to a reputable hotel. The previous owners were way better back in the day and this place was once a fabulous little gem. Now it’s become a dump.

We are from out of province and wanted to eat at a nice restaurant while we are visiting Calgary. We were seated right away only bc there was no other patrons coming in at that time. The bartender took our order and drinks. Our appetizers and meals were delivered by the server The 2 appetizers weren't great. The calamari was very chewy and hard and the Polpeette was hard as Little rocks and difficult to cut through. Our meals did not arrive at the same time and they forgot one's salad. We wanted to order dessert and waited for the server to come around. I politely said excuse me to get her attention but she may not have heard me and walked away. We waited some more and I got up to ask the bartender and told them we wanted to order dessert and sat back down and waited again. The server did not come by but bartender. By then we decided not to order dessert and just have the check. Finally the server comes with the 174$ check and pin pad for payment. This is the first time I have never tipped at a restaurant. I feel like if I have to get up more than once to ask for service and then wait 10-15 mins then I shouldn't have to tip. The restaurant was not busy at all. I feel bad for not tipping cos the bartender provided good service but it was the server that made my...
