My friend and I go here all the time and have mostly had good experiences, but a recent visit made us never want to come here again. The blonde Lebanese lady is very unprofessional and rude for no reason. We went around 7:40, well over an hour before closing. We noticed someone was mopping so apologized and asked if they were closing soon, because we didn’t wanna inconvenience them. The blonde lady said they close at 8:30 and the man working there said 9 pm. So first she lied about what time they close. Then she was very stingy with the portion size of the platter which I noticed was a lot smaller than usual. I kindly asked for a little bit of hot sauce and pomegranate sauce on top of the chicken which is what I usually get, and she proceeded to drown it in all the sauces until it was practically inedible even when I tried to tell her to stop and that i only wanted a little bit. I also get the feeling she made fun of my accent when I spoke to her in Arabic, I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but my gut tells me otherwise. I ordered more rice separately since the rice she gave us was now soaked with a bunch of sauces which I feel she did to be petty. On top of that, she gave us our potato with garlic sauce also doused in so much hot sauce, and I never asked for that. She was clearly pissed off. Who puts hot sauce on garlic sauce?? She obviously did that to be petty. The food ended up disgusting on purpose and it was a waste of money. She shouted at us from across the restaurant to get up and get our food too which was on a cutting board, didn’t even serve it to us. I wish I took a photo now but I couldn’t even think of it in the moment.
Additionally I feel like they are subtly racist towards anyone who isn’t Lebanese, as I’ve noticed micro-aggressions towards my friend on a few occasions even before this but we tried to brush it off as a misunderstanding. I’m extremely disappointed especially given the fact that my friend and I were regular customers helping their business and this lady treated us badly for no reason. Also, other people have told me similar things about her so I know it’s not just me. She accused my other friend’s fiancé of giving her a dirty look and confronted him on the spot when he did nothing wrong, he was just tired and zoning out not even looking in her direction.
I used to love this location, but until the staff learns to behave properly I will not be returning or recommending Pita...
Read moreOn June 3rd at around 6 PM, I visited this store to get some Eid desserts. When I arrived, a family was having supper inside, and no one was at the cashier or available to assist customers. My husband and I waited and had to call out to ask if anyone was there to help. About five minutes later, a lady came out.
We asked her about the dessert bags, which were not opening properly. She didn’t offer much help, but I eventually found better ones on another table and started filling them myself. I also asked if I could mix and match items, and while I was doing that, I asked about the Kunafeh. Every time I asked her a question, she seemed annoyed and complained.
After I placed the Kunafeh in a bag, I requested syrup to go with it, but when I looked in the bag, there was no syrup. When I politely asked for it again, she responded in a rude tone, telling me I had to wait—even though there were no other customers needing help at the time.
My husband tried to be understanding and asked if she might be new, and she snapped back, “No, I’m not new,” in a very unprofessional and disrespectful manner. We were both shocked by how rude and unfriendly she was.
We had planned to purchase more for our celebration, but I told my husband to forget it—I didn’t want to buy anything else. I left very disappointed and went to another place to finish buying desserts.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this store based on this experience. The customer service was shockingly poor and unprofessional, especially during such an important and...
Read moreSo disappointed with the costumer service and food quality. Firstly, I placed my order early and at the time of pick up the owner says he forgot and would make it at the moment. Secondly, when I noticed they were preparing with a regular pita bread, I clarified my wrap was with the low carb bread, I got as a replay that “That is just in the Airdrie location, the people there pay more for it, Calgary customers are cheap and don’t pay for such bread” what makes me confirm he didn’t bother to read the note in the order and didn’t take the time to contact me and let me know this location does not work with low carb bread. Then I requested a salad, the owner indicates the employee to prepare a wrap because they have whole wheat pita bread and it’s good anyways. I took the wrap just because the employee was a nice lady and was apologizing. Finally, the chicken was full of hard pieces, a sign that this is no fresh sliced shawarma meat from the day but from the previous one. I hope this was just a mistake and customer service would make me think to give them a second chance. But sorry, I ain’t...
