Joodam is one of my husband and i’s favourite place we keep finding ourselves going back to again and again. And I end up here with a lot of my gf’s as well. My Korean in laws also really enjoys joodam’s food as one of their best they have ever expressed. They have good portion. Spicy is actually spicy which is nice. Rice always comes out nice and hot. Perfect. I never feel sick after the meal or the next day. It seems they really put a lot of care and quality into their recipes that make the richness in flavours which doesn’t entail cheating sugars and grease to cover it up like most any restaurants seem to do nowadays. It’s a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the dine. They have teas and cocktails so you don’t always feel like you have to hop over to another venue after dinner. They have large windows to sit alongside where it’s still always nice and warm which helps it feel very cozy and you can dress up without having to keep your jackets on even when seated by the windows. Washrooms are always very clean and always has nice clean scent (that isn't a chemical smell) and not overpowering. The toilet papers they have are also quality. Not cheap, thin or frail. Sometimes the washroom situations in restaurants are what have me not ever wanting to go back so this is very indeed important for me. The service is very good. Never have been disappointed so far. They have some of the more unique and very good korean drinks that most other places don’t have or normally offer. Jjampong pasta with addition of a bowl of white rice is my favourite here. Spicy jokbal was really nice. Their fries are very fresh, crisp and have fullness in shape. Good amount of flavour and seasoning. I can go on and on about every single one of their menu items but they are all definitely a beat (even the...

Celebrating a personal milestone, and wanting to try something different, I came across this restaurant I've never been to before. A short walk from my new home, Joodam offered great food and drink for my personal celebration🤘🏻. The restaurant has an aesthetic that is part brutalism with all the unforgiving blocky concrete and large open space/high ceilings, yet the lighting and staff added a warmth that truly made me feel I was home 🖤❤️🖤❤️ I wasn't focused on taking pictures , I was just living in the moment, enjoying the food (some sort of sweet potato noodle dish, it was so good I wish I remembered what it was called). I had a few double shots (neat) of some scotch I can't remember either but it actually complimented my meal perfectly. The girls serving me made me feel welcome, they were very pleasant, dare I say adorable ☺️ I'd have to say my favorite thing about my experience that night at Joodam was the utensils - yeah I know I'm a weirdo for singling out the chopsticks, but the shape, the weight, the balance, and general use of these utensils perfected the experience. I wish I could buy a pair of them! 😆 Go eat there, and bring...
