KYOKU — Restaurant in Calgary

I guess I have found my favourite sushi place in Calgary; finally! I had an offer for pickup orders on UberEats, so decided to give it a try. Came to the restaurant, it’s a small place but looks quite cozy and most importantly I was welcomed by a lady who prepared my order, she and a chef who prepared were so friendly, I miss this feeling of pure hospitality in Canada, in general. Brought the order home and to my surprise the portions were quite good for the price, so that my wife couldn’t even finish hers, so I came to her rescue. We stopped by Kyoku for lunch on Sunday, and let just say we were impressed! There were 5 of us, 4 adults and 1 kid, so we decided to get the dinner for 4, with a red velvet cake and a mango mousse (which I didn't get a picture of). We definitely got the value of our money as the fish were fresh, with large portions. We had some leftovers to take home after. I ordered the salmon sushi combo and some California rolls as well as some macarons for takeout yesterday. Sushi and sashimi were extremely fresh and delicious, attractively presented and order was ready super fast. Macarons were packaged nicely and would make a nice gift to someone or treat for yourself.
