This is my new favourite spot! I don’t even know where to start! The most amazing vegan bites and cocktails I think I’ve ever had. EVER! Our server was PERFECTION… helpful, friendly and great at making drink suggestions. We could tell she was just as excited about working here as we were to be here. Having just moved to the East Village, I know I will be a regular here. Even if you aren’t living in the East Village, this amazing gem is worth the trip from anywhere in the city. Make sure you have a DD because their cocktail menu is EXTENSIVE! Very cute little place. The service was really great, we had a blonde lady serve us and she was wonderful! We ordered 3 cocktails that were very flavourful and there is something for everyone. We ordered 2 of the chicken wings, a kfc bites, a Bahn mi, and a rice balls (they were out of this) and a pork bun (they were out of this too, so we had to order other items off the menu). The chicken wings and kfc bites were very nice and the dumplings we got instead of the rice balls were delicious. The bahn mi and the mince bun were okay, but we definitely would have preferred to try other things on the menu. This place has it all!! I am always impressed when restaurants can curate a very specific vibe. This place feels ultra cool but at the same time cozy and comfortable. The drinks are very fine versions of classic cocktails and all my favourites are there, so it was hard to choose! I had the Corpse Reviver #2. The bartenders definitely got it right! This drink sometimes comes out cloying and jarring but this very was boozy and well balanced. If it wasn’t a school night, things could have gotten out of hand! Magpie features an all Vegan menu.
