IF YOU HAVE ANY ALLERGIES, DO NOT COME HERE! This was extremely disappointing. I informed our server that I have a severe pineapple allergy and to be careful with cross contamination and she said it was not problem. All I ordered was an iced tea because I know with mixed drinks there's always extra chance of cross contamination. She then returned with my iced tea and advised me that they cannot guarantee anything (which is usual, I understand that) but what was shocking to me is that she told me there could be pineapple juice in their ice (gross, as someone who's worked in the serving industry for years that is entirely unacceptable) or on the bartenders hands which could cause cross contamination (wash your hands before pouring my drink?) but she also had a drink with a pineapple wedge on the rim right beside my iced tea. At every restaurant or bar I have been to or worked in, protocol is always to wash your hands and bring out the item with the allergy individually, not on a tray beside the allergy! That was extremely careless and disappointing. I requested a new drink for all the reasons she told me before she handed it to me, without ice or lemon, just straight from the fountain, and still, I took a few sips and started having an allergic reaction. Thankfully I was cautious and tried a bit first before actually drinking it because I had 0 trust that it was safe to drink, which was good because my instincts were correct.
Additionally, the table behind us had something burning, I'm not sure if it was incense or tobacco or what, but it was suffocating and I had to leave my group immediately. The entire experience was horrible and I will never recommend this...
Read moreOur first waitress (brown straight hair) didn't care if we lived or died--our "service" didn't include a single smile or a standard introduction. She seemed bothered to have us from the moment we were sat, to be transparent. She was also very condescending to both myself and my friend when ordering. She was noticeably quite rude and it impacted our experience. It was very disappointing; seems like a regular occurrence with her in other reviews. Myself and my guest have been several times to Prickett Richard and it's become a favourite stop until last night. Shockingly, we had better service and ambiance at Earls earlier in the evening. Seemed to be an all female bar team--neither of them payed us much attention when we moved to the bar to get away from the waitress we originally had A male team member provided two complimentary shots when we asked to move which was appreciated. He was our nicest interaction with staff last night Oysters were unbelievably salty, which was very out of the ordinary in comparison to all the other times this dish was ordered in previous visits Music choice was exceptionally louder and more rap heavy than what seemed to be our normal experience here Our usual drinks did not taste the same, lady lazarus was very, very spicy and my friends drink also seemed to have ratios a bit off because it was unusually bitter. Nobody checked with us about them. We paid our $88 tab and left as soon as we could, with our drinks obviously full. Again, nobody checked about our experience when we finally paid. I...

The space, reminiscent of a transformed wine cellar, exudes an upscale and intimate ambiance. Exposed brick arches, warm lighting, and a mix of bar seating, tables, and couches create a cozy yet sophisticated setting. The background music complements the vibe without overpowering conversation. While the backbar isn’t particularly standout, the overall design and atmosphere are impressive.
Drinks: 9.5/10 Recommendation: Slaughtered Ox The cocktail menu is extensive and creatively curated, featuring a diverse range of drinks with unique ingredients. Notably, it includes an exotic Louis XIII Sidecar priced over $500. The Slaughtered Ox, a Sazerac-style cocktail, stood out with its perfectly balanced flavors and a complementary chocolate garnish. Drinks are presented in high-quality glassware, accompanied by thoughtful garnishes and served on nice coasters, enhancing the overall drinking experience.
Service: 7/10 The staff is professional, though interactions felt somewhat distant. Water was provided upon arrival, and prices are slightly above average for Calgary, but they align with the quality and...
