Ricky's & Famoso - Sunridge — Restaurant in Calgary

If you like rude staff and being ignored. This is the place for you. Our host seemed irritated that I requested a booth (which I may have misread) but It took forever for our server to notice us. I’m aware lunch hour is busy, but a simple “I see you or I’ll be right there” even a kind hand gesture can go along way.

We were hungry and tried hard to patiently wait. She walked by several times and no eye contact. We were invisible to her, if she has enough time to refill peoples coffees and waters, I think she has a second to acknowledge a new table.

She finally approached us as we were getting up to leave (I just wanted our last meal in Calgary to be decent and not have poor service). She asked why I was leaving and I told her that we were waiting along time and figured it was too busy for a decent experience. She seemed agitated that I was direct and she rudely said that she had other guests/duties.

We left and went to Cora’s.

This Ricky’s should call the Edmonton restaurant on jasper ave and ask for tips on how to improve guest service. We have no reason to return to...

I went to Ricky’s specifically for dinner recently for the first time in nearly 7 years and I was a bit disappointed about the food and lack of options for a grill restaurant. I’ve had breakfasts at rickys and they’ve always been good but the dinner options are limited for grilled meats. I didn’t see steak, or chicken or ribs on the menu

I ordered the cheesesteak and it had some odd ingredients for a chessesteak. The beef has an off taste like it was old or maybe frozen previously. The sandwich wasn’t seared, that’s a cheesesteak staple so I was disappointed. My family had some issues with their food too

I did order drinks and the mimosa flight. And even though they were missing the pineapple mimosa the rest of them from the mimosa were there and tasted good

And our waiter was incredibly nice, she said she was new but none of us could tell because of how polite and helpful she was, she was awesome to us. The atmosphere is nice too

My dinner was not satisfactory but I think going for breakfasts here is the best option for a good meal. The pancakes omelettes and toast are always a good choice so that’s what i would recommend...

If I could give no stars I would! Myself and my husband went here tonight for dinner. We always go to the Airdrie location which we love and we were in the Sunridge area tonight so figured we would try this location. What a nightmare!!!! First of all there was only about 3 tables that had people. We waited 15 mins to be offered a drink! Then we ordered , my husband ordered the Texas star burger that comes with pull pork on the burger. I ordered fish and chips. It took almost 50 mins to get our food!!! As I said the place was not busy so no reason for the long wait... My husbands burger was totally wrong, the waitress who was blonde with glasses was totally lost nit knowing what to do at all. There table behind us had a couple with 4 kids and they said almost all there food was wrong too. My fries weren't fully cooked and I had to ask the waitress 3 times for tarter sauce for my fish which should of come on my plate in the first place.. NEVER AGAIN will we eat here ever again horrid food and...
