Review:

Indulging in a trio of classic Indian street food delights โ€“ Samosa Chaat, Pav Bhaji, and Dahi Puri โ€“ at Saffron Street was an experience to remember. Each dish offered a burst of flavors, textures, and aromas that transported me back to the bustling streets of Mumbai.

Starting with the Samosa Chaat, the crispy samosas were perfectly complemented by a medley of tangy chickpea curry, creamy yogurt, and zesty chutneys. The combination of crunchy samosas and the rich, flavorful toppings created a harmonious blend of sweet, spicy, and savory notes that tantalized my taste buds with every bite.

Next up, the Pav Bhaji was a hearty and satisfying dish that packed a punch of flavor. The buttery pav buns served alongside the spicy and aromatic vegetable bhaji were the perfect accompaniment. The bhaji was generously topped with diced onions, fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lemon, adding brightness and freshness to the dish. Each bite was a delicious explosion of flavors, leaving me craving more.

Finally, the Dahi Puri was a refreshing and delightful palate cleanser. The crispy puris filled with tangy tamarind chutney, creamy yogurt, and spicy mint sauce were a burst of flavor in every mouthful. The combination of textures โ€“ crispy puris, creamy yogurt, and crunchy toppings โ€“ created a symphony of taste and texture that left me feeling satisfied and refreshed

Overall, if you are a fan of street food, donโ€™t forget to try these cuisines at Saffron street, you will definitely not be...

I can't say enough good things about Saffron Street, a hidden gem for authentic Indian cuisine. The first thing you'll notice is how neat and clean the place is, but the true star of the show is, undoubtedly, the food.

I have frequented this place numerous times just to indulge in their Chole Bhature. The Bhature, a fried puffed bread, is a culinary masterpieceโ€”light, fluffy, and perfectly golden. Paired with their Chole, a spiced chickpea dish, each bite becomes a celebration of flavors and textures that you have to experience to believe.

If you're looking to explore their menu further, don't miss out on the Samosa Chaat and Dahi Puri. They're my all-time favorites, and for good reason! The Samosa Chaat is a delightful blend of spiciness, tanginess, and crunchiness. The Dahi Puri, on the other hand, is a burst of flavors, perfectly assembled to tickle your taste buds.

Another huge plus is that the food is made fresh. You can really taste the difference in quality and flavor. All in all, Saffron Street doesn't just serve food; it offers an experience that you'll want to revisit again and again. Highly...

Gentleman at the counter with beard seemed stressed which reflected during placing our order. I am not sure why he already looked in a panicked state.

We were a group of 7 people ready to order; however I stood their at the counter, yes we took 10, 20 seconds to decide what to order and this guy told us 3 times to get organized before placing the order.

Is this your standard of treating guests who are not spontaneous with their orders and take few seconds to decide? His demeanour was not very pleasant and the way he said this was rude!

I mean I donโ€™t know whatโ€™s wrong when you serve food to an Indian customer, all of a sudden it feels like you are doing a favour by feeding us. Please do not forget that you are there because of us customers. Do not take it for granted.

I belong to the same industry and I cannot even think of treating the customers like this. You have to be patient with people, especially when they are the first timers at your restaurant . Not coming back, you did loose business from 7 people...

Edit : After loving Masala Dosa from @saffronstreetyyc , we wanted to try out their other menu items, but were a little disappointed this time. Dahi Puri - Burst of flavors in mouth, could feel more of just the tamarind sauce, with almost no dahi/curd in it. Veg Kathi Roll - A masala of onion and tomato which by itself has no flavors and a lot of oil put in a roti. Chole Bhature - These were better than the other two dishes. Overall, we would only go back for the Masala Dosa and Mango Lassi. --------- Review 1: Tried Masala Dosa and it was so good that we couldn't help ourselves from asking an extra sambar(lentil curry). Though I didnot like the chutneys served with dosa. Since we had to wait a little longer so they offered us Mango Lassi (Yoghurt ) which was so refreshing. Cannot wait to come back and try other options.

We had a hard time deciding on what dishes to order between us as they all sounded good! We ended up with a paneer kati roll, samosa chat which featured a samosa in chickpea curry, mint, chutney, yogurt, cilantro and pomegranate and butter chicken which came with lentils, rice, roti and papadam. The flavours in all the dishes had such deep, rich flavours and we loved the taste of all of them! Our favourite was the kati roll. We went on a busy Friday night (no line but backed up with orders) where they warned us it would take 20-30 minutes. They give you a beeper so you can find a seat and wait comfortably until your order is ready. My wife who doesn't handle spice well found all the dishes spicy but loved the overall flavours!

Very poor and disappointing experience last night. My friend was told thereโ€™d be a 20 mins wait for his food to which he agreed. 30+ mins later, we already all had finished eating while my friend still hadnโ€™t gotten his food. When he finally got his food, it was three pieces of fried bread and a small serving of food. All for 16$??? When confronted about the long wait, your staff showed no care nor felt sorry for their lack of service. Food was disappointing, service as well and saying that they experienced a rush is ridiculous. This is a Saturday night, the least you can do is prepare enough food in advance. Fried bread takes less than two minutes to make.
