Review:
Indulging in a trio of classic Indian street food delights โ Samosa Chaat, Pav Bhaji, and Dahi Puri โ at Saffron Street was an experience to remember. Each dish offered a burst of flavors, textures, and aromas that transported me back to the bustling streets of Mumbai.
Starting with the Samosa Chaat, the crispy samosas were perfectly complemented by a medley of tangy chickpea curry, creamy yogurt, and zesty chutneys. The combination of crunchy samosas and the rich, flavorful toppings created a harmonious blend of sweet, spicy, and savory notes that tantalized my taste buds with every bite.
Next up, the Pav Bhaji was a hearty and satisfying dish that packed a punch of flavor. The buttery pav buns served alongside the spicy and aromatic vegetable bhaji were the perfect accompaniment. The bhaji was generously topped with diced onions, fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lemon, adding brightness and freshness to the dish. Each bite was a delicious explosion of flavors, leaving me craving more.
Finally, the Dahi Puri was a refreshing and delightful palate cleanser. The crispy puris filled with tangy tamarind chutney, creamy yogurt, and spicy mint sauce were a burst of flavor in every mouthful. The combination of textures โ crispy puris, creamy yogurt, and crunchy toppings โ created a symphony of taste and texture that left me feeling satisfied and refreshed
Overall, if you are a fan of street food, donโt forget to try these cuisines at Saffron street, you will definitely not be...
ย ย ย Read moreI can't say enough good things about Saffron Street, a hidden gem for authentic Indian cuisine. The first thing you'll notice is how neat and clean the place is, but the true star of the show is, undoubtedly, the food.
I have frequented this place numerous times just to indulge in their Chole Bhature. The Bhature, a fried puffed bread, is a culinary masterpieceโlight, fluffy, and perfectly golden. Paired with their Chole, a spiced chickpea dish, each bite becomes a celebration of flavors and textures that you have to experience to believe.
If you're looking to explore their menu further, don't miss out on the Samosa Chaat and Dahi Puri. They're my all-time favorites, and for good reason! The Samosa Chaat is a delightful blend of spiciness, tanginess, and crunchiness. The Dahi Puri, on the other hand, is a burst of flavors, perfectly assembled to tickle your taste buds.
Another huge plus is that the food is made fresh. You can really taste the difference in quality and flavor. All in all, Saffron Street doesn't just serve food; it offers an experience that you'll want to revisit again and again. Highly...
ย ย ย Read moreGentleman at the counter with beard seemed stressed which reflected during placing our order. I am not sure why he already looked in a panicked state.
We were a group of 7 people ready to order; however I stood their at the counter, yes we took 10, 20 seconds to decide what to order and this guy told us 3 times to get organized before placing the order.
Is this your standard of treating guests who are not spontaneous with their orders and take few seconds to decide? His demeanour was not very pleasant and the way he said this was rude!
I mean I donโt know whatโs wrong when you serve food to an Indian customer, all of a sudden it feels like you are doing a favour by feeding us. Please do not forget that you are there because of us customers. Do not take it for granted.
I belong to the same industry and I cannot even think of treating the customers like this. You have to be patient with people, especially when they are the first timers at your restaurant . Not coming back, you did loose business from 7 people...
