First off I would like to say I have overall had pleasent experiences at this restaurant and was actually there the previous week with my sister. They have always been very accommodating with my allergies and generally very kind. Today however was very different. We were greeted by an unhappy hostess who seated us by simply tossing the menus onto the table, grabbing the extra cutlery that was there, and walked away. We had two waitresses, one Named Sarah (who was our server last week and was amazing) and the other I’m not sure her name. The first waitress (The one I don’t know the name of because she didn’t greet us) took our drink order and our food order, She seemed nice until we were ordering our food. I have a pretty severe allergy to eggs so I wanted to order the Jo Tabah but substitute the eggs for another slice of toast or an extra sausage or some extra hash browns, well apparently my only option to substitute with was some tomato which I also have a mild intolerance to. After the server got frustrated with me asking what I could substitute my eggs for (telling me the only thing that had the price equivalent to eggs was some tomato) I finally just said that I would get the tomato because I simply didn’t want to make the situation any more stressful than it already was. When I got my plate my substitute was literally 2 slices of a tomato which doesn’t logically make sense how the only thing with the equivalent to 2 full eggs was 2 slices of a tomato. Not only that, we were supposed to receive a specialty coffee as part of the price which we never got offered, and didn’t realize till we received our receipt that said specialty coffee on it (we did have small fruit cocktails but I still expect to be asked if we wanted the coffee especially when the price towards the coffee could have also helped substitute for more than two slices of a tomato)… 2 eggs + specialty coffee= 2 slices of a tomato? It just really doesn’t make sense to me. Our server went off shift after that point, I know this because she was leaving the same time we left. She was replaced by Sarah who is a really good server, she grabbed us our bills and and thanked us for coming. I work in the restaurant industry and I know that sometimes people have bad days, and customers can be frustrating, but I also know that the customer should be the number one priority, I am very upset and disappointed to...
Read moreWorst customer service any of us have ever experienced in our lives! The waitress was rude to each one of us (table of 4) she was condescending and blamed the customers for her awful attitude even when I was trying to be sympathetic to her job. (It’s a busy place) We literally saw how grumpy she was and tried to cheer her up by being nice but nope! SHE ROLLED HER EYES was all business insisting we tell her everything we wanted at that moment because they were too busy, then she gave a fake smile and before she walked away, showed us her fake smile turned into a mean annoyed face. Wow how awful we all felt! The table next to us even commented on how rude she was. If you hate your job you really shouldn’t be a waitress. It ruins the experience for everyone and food isn’t enjoyed with such awful maybe even racist servers. Never again will we go there! The food used to be amazing and that’s why we stuck it out and waited AN HOUR for our brunch! But no it wasn’t worth the $100 we spent. Meanwhile, we could clearly see food ready to go, plated up on the pass waiting to be delivered to tables but all the employees just walked by the plates. Some peoples food seemed to be sitting up there for a long time getting cold! This location is the worst! Avoid at all cost, there are many other options near by. You think your going in for a nice meal but then come out disappointed, late for wherever you’re going next and maybe even hangry still. We should’ve know when waiting 30 mins for a table we witnessed multiple people complaining with the manager at the door before they left. We didn’t bother to complain because we will just never...
