iGreek — Restaurant in Clarington

I hate to leave a bad review but seeing as they do not like to respond to e mails, I will revert to this......on Thursday April 14 I placed an order for a late lunch, early dinner, as I had just worked a 16 hour shift and needed comfort food. My order consisted of a large greek salad, the lettuce was browning and sticking to the sides of the container, the cucumbers were shriveled up and unrecognizable, the dressing was oil only and no hint of herbs and spices in the oil, the tomatoes were so old they were going dark dark red and mushy, perhaps the previous days salad?????? I also ordered a side dinner size chicken skewer, now normally it arrives with parchment paper in the bottom of container to keep juices in the bottom, well, no parchment paper, and zero juices. The chicken was so dry that I had to put in my salad just to make it edible. The side potatoes were edible but that's not saying much. Now since finding igreek restaurant I have been a regular, 2-4 times a month, but I can now say I will try other greek establishments to replace them, if they cannot guarantee fresh meals then I would forgo my lunch and dinner plans there. I emailed them on Friday after careful thought, but 30$ in these times should guarantee a good lunch I think, and I have yet to hear a word back....maybe they are so popular now that they don't feel the need to keep one single...

iGreek in Oshawa... So here's the deal. I have raved about Bowmanville iGreek for 2 years... tried iGreek in Oshawa a couple weeks ago and had a really bad experience. BUT... one of the co owners of the iGreek restaurants personally messaged me on Facebook after reading a poor review in a comment I left on a post in this group. He was beyond apologetic that I had a poor experience... they had hired 2 employees that weren't following the iGreek recipes, and have since fixed the issue.

The owner hand delivered a dinner for 4 to my house for me and my family this evening to show me the issue has been fixed and apologize. I can not say better things about the customer service I received from the owner, it was absolutely amazing that he went out of his way and took the time out of his VERY long and busy day to bring my family dinner after his employees made a mistake.

The food this time was PHENOMENAL. I LOVE Greek food... like, should have been born in Greece. This was amazing, and the tzatziki this time around was one of the best I've had.

This restaurant is having a hard time getting through covid and poor quality employees, but the owners are genuine and truly care about their customers and delivering them yummy Greek food.

I have ordered 2-chicken gyro take-outs. I have told the young white woman staff that I'll step out to get my debit card from my car parked around the side of the building. I was back after one minute. The order was ready to my surprise, on the counter, in a white plastic bag, closed up. Inside the car, at the local beach park with my 95 y.o. father, we started eating bits by bits. It was stale, hard, and mostly salty. I'm sure the rice was old and hard because I'm Asian. The body language of the lady didn't escape my attention. She even asked in tone of question, if I need a receipt - which later I thought that sealed her business transaction. No receipt, no business evidence. I told my Father, survivor of WWII, healthy person, and no COVID-19 vaccination, not to touch the food, or else he'll be food poisoned. We went to McDonald's instead, had fish-o-fillet sandwiches meal, all three of us, for less $30, as opposed to over $35 for two a-day-old orders. Such a waste of time, effort, and money. More importantly, for those unsuspecting customer, a detrimental risk to...
