Beer Store 2107 — Restaurant in Clarington

Have been going to this beer store location for over 15 years.

I haven't had a bad experience in awhile. I have been debating whether it's worth going back after receiving attitude when returning empties. I count my empties with a calculator and still get told that I've done the math wrong... It's like bruh, 6, 24's + 12+ 2 + 8 is a 166 cans and yet I get $14.00 in returns.

Once I realized a mistake was made, I made an attempt to ask them to fix it, only to be told, those weren't your empties, and that the person behind the counter counted all my empties. I held my tongue because l, I'd rather believe mistakes happen but I was super close to raising my voice. Until I decided that it wasn't worth yelling at an employee, even if they gave me attitude.

I loved going to the beer store as I genuinely like a vast majority of the employees, as I have found them nothing but helpful and courteous when recommending beer. It'll be awhile before I shop at the beer store again.

Worth at least 3 stars, two would be too much of...

Absolutely disgusted at the customer service on the short broad built lady with the long black curly hair. She is by far the rudest individual I’ve ever met, not only did I see her yell at an elderly lady over how many empty wine bottles she had, but then proceeded to give me attitude when I had approached her with my empties. Even after giving her a compliment to try to make her day better, because I get it we all have bad days. But I think she generally just hates her job and life due to how deeply miserable she was. She really needs to rethink her career/ employment options as anything working in customer service is not for her. Or maybe have her clean the establishment or the bathrooms, somewhere where she doesn’t need to be...

Poor experience.

Went today to return some cans/bottles (first time) and grab some beer..

The young gentleman at the return desk was nice, quick, and most importantly, had good customer service.

BUT... A women emerged from the back room, looked over, rolled her eyes and started to huff and puff.. she proceeds to come over and in the rudest way possible, says we are doing this wrong and need to use the Black bins, rolls her eyes again and dumps the 7 bottles into a black bin.. one of course smashed.

Explain protocol, and do it nicely. I would have gladly lifted those 7 bottles into a bin for you since your job is too hard to handle the smallest...
