A&W Canada — Restaurant in Edmonton

I feel really badly about writting this review because of how much I loved A&W before all of this went down. Now I wish I could give you guys a no star rating. Unfortunatly I've had two bad experiences in a short amount of time and one of them was really really bad. I have a severe airborne and aniphilactic allergy to tomatoes and peppers. Please take a second to process how much that sucks. I'm basically allergic to the world, and it's very hard for me to find foods I can 1) be around and 2) actually eat. I've had your chubby chicken burger loads of times before. Up until recently I never had a problem with them. They don't contain any ketchup or tomato, therefor I should be somewhat safe. Two weeks ago I ordered food on uber eats from A&W. I was very clear on my allergies. Somehow my burger showed up at my place with ketchup on it. Yes, ketchup can kill me. It's made from tomatoes. Fast forward to last night and I was starving so I decided to stop at the A&W to get a quick dinner (I hadn't eaten all day). I watched the lady make my chubby chicken and saw that the tomatoes and lettuce came from the same bin. I explained how allergic I was. I had to argue with them that there was indeed tomatoes in the lettuce bin and that they touched. They kept saying no no no no until I pointed my finger directly into the bin and said "look there! A single slice of tomato!" All three of the ladies got together to talk about this then decided I could have new lettuce and a new burger. Which I should have been given immediately. One of them went to the back to get my uncontaminated lettuce and the other two stayed up front. When the lady brought the Lettuce back and gave it to the lady making the burgers the lady making the burgers took her hands off a bunch of tomatoes and immediately put them on the clean lettuce... Which then no longer was clean anymore. I told her to please wash her hands as she could kill me. She rolled her eyes at me and put her hands under the water of the sink for five seconds, staring me down the whole time with a look of disgust. She didn't use soap. You guys have been treating me really bad lately and I don't appreciate or deserve it. Your employees don't take my allergies seriously. I spent 6.60$ on a chubby chicken burger that I ended up just leaving there. I am not an angry person and all I wanted to do was throw that burger against the wall. I felt like no one was hearing me or even cared. As I said before I used to love A&W... But now that I see how you guys treat your customers with allergies you can be sure I will never be going back and I will write reviews far and wide about this and how your employees treat customers with allergies. People need to know you have no customer follow through and you don't give a Dahm if a few pop dead from your food every now and again. I did complain about the ketchup. I was told I would have a follow up, never did. I ate some of it too Becuase I thought I was safe. Luckily it was only my entire face that went numb and covered in hives and not a full blown aniphilactic reaction or my parents would be getting you guys to pay...

Same notes as my other A&W. Why does Google do this? I get each is individually owned but come on? Honestly every location that is part of a franchise serves the Exact same pre-made food. Hello? Really? Google, you are seriously wasting people's time on this. I just want to get my Settlement under Employer Misclassification Precedent. How much do I have to write, talk about and, ask for it? Like seriously? How much Google are you going to take advantage of people, lock them out of their accounts yet advertise that you are "da Greatest Company In The WORLD". Whatever...pshaw! Like everyone already knows. Everybody knows. Everyone is talking about how Google uses people. Just pay me and, maybe I'll shut up. No Lawyers. Really? You want to go to Court knowing I will win? So that your precious name is dirtier than it already is? Why not do the right thing just like almost ALL Canadians are trying to do. Do what YOU have to do Google and, be an EXAMPLE not a hindrance to Society. Show people how IF we ALL help each other out, IF we ALL help our Society out, ALL of "our Canada" can be Great again. Then we can ALL work on other Countries problems and, ALL work on the big problems affecting everyone today world wide; food shortage, climate change, pollution, war, stupidity, Healthcare inadequecy, water shortage and, pollution, Political un-rest, inequality, Human Rights, God what isn't wrong today?...

The experience at this A&W left me feeling like I needed to be sanitized. Have a really hot shower. There were quite a few homeless people in and out. Using the bathroom and such. The women’s bathroom floor was flooded and the bathroom was dirty. No toilet paper. When staff were told about the state of the washroom a lazy attempt was made to attend to it. When the staff was informed the second time that the bathroom needed attendance that the floor was flooded, there was a nasty used Band-Aid in one of the stalls as well as blood. Again they went in and made a lazy attempt to deal with it. The third time that it was brought to their attention, I asked one of the female staff members to come into the bathroom so I can show them the state of the bathroom. The floor again was flooded. The Band-Aid was still on the floor in the one stall there was still blood on the floor in the other stall. The Toilet paper that had been placed into one of the stalls was filthy. It had mud and some rubble on it Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t feel like wiping myself with this nasty toilet paper. The restaurant itself was dead. And there were so many dirty tables. I noticed the staff definitely had time to stand around and chat, but not...
