My wife went here earlier today with our infant son. Her experience was not so good and is as follows " I asked for a water for the baby along with my coffee, and went to sit down after getting the coffee, so that I could nurse and feed my baby. I then realised, after unpacking my stuff out of my stroller at the only available table, that I had forgotten to grab the water. I went up to an employee near the pastry case and asked politely if she could grab my water from the bar side, as I didn't want to leave my baby alone in his stroller (especially near an exterior door) and go to the bar where i cannot see him, and didn't want to leave the table in case someone took the table (which i need as I need to sit to breastfeed). This employee was kind and went to grab the water from the bar, but when she went to the bar, the employee who was on bar said back to me "you can come over here to get your water." The tone and statement, given the situation, was incompassionate at best, at worst deliberately discriminatory (I am a very youthful looking mother, though i am 30). Most people would agree at least that it was definitely unprofessional. I'd like to believe that the employee on bar didn't see the baby, and I know service jobs are very stressful, but she should consider which circumstances may lead to such a request. I could have been disabled, for example, and this would not be immediately visible. The other employee brought me the water anyway, but my experience left me feeling a bit unwelcome over what was really a...
Read moreThe cashier AJ (I believe) didn't have any patience to let us decide our order even though there was nobody behind us in the line and he just kept rushing us. When we ordered we said "very less ice as in 2-3 cubes of ice" and he joked and said "so like 100 cubes of ice" and we paid but when we got the order it was soo full of ice which wasn't what we asked for when we ordered when the cashier just wanted to joke around so we of course mentioned that and the barista was super nice and she just made us a new drink. I picked up the other drink to throw it away when AJ said very rudely "could you through that in the garbage, thanks" which is what I was going to do anyways but I don't need to be told to do that especially in such a way. We asked for what we ordered and paid for so I believe I don't need to be treated that way for asking for MY order. Cashier should be trained to take orders right even if he wants to joke around and also how to atleast not talk to customers that way if he can't even apologize. Cause there are other Starbucks in downtown which give better customer service and I won't hesitate to go...
Read morePutting a review here for the staff because I saw the WEIRDEST thing today - I guess people are scamming for frappuccinos now? Early afternoon June 14 - father and teenage daughter were in front of me in the lineup. It was relatively quiet and I could clearly hear them clearly. Daughter orders a cappuccino, dark haired female cashier repeats the order back (cappuccino and size) and they pay...I get my order after them and am waiting by the pickup counter. Barista puts the cappuccino on the counter and calls out the girl's name. Girl gets upset, father starts berating the staff that they misheard and she had actually ordered some variety of frappuccino. Staff say: no you ordered a cappuccino and the pair raise hell. Eventually the father happily (all of a sudden a big smile on his face) walks away with the cappuccino and the daughter gets a free frappuccino due to their little scene... but it seemed...a little too smooth maybe? Putting this here for the staff who had to put up with their abuse - as an outsider who heard everything clearly, it looked...
