I had been craving a ham sub and was downtown one day so I dropped in-it was after lunch hour and there was only one person sitting at a table.
I ordered a ham sub on white a foot long, boy was I dissappointed. The lady put 4 little pieces of cheese on the sub, the tomatoes were diced up for some reason, not tomatoes slices and it was not very fresh. The lettuce was grated up and was not fresh, they did put 5 slices of ham on the bun.
I thought the foot long bun was fresh, anything else tasted like it had been sitting in the sun, I woulnd say it tasted spoiled-but it all had that sitting out way too long smell to it. The smell was like it you left a bagged lunch in you backpack over night kind of smell and taste-what happened to the quality-at this place.
i have never had a ham sub that I didnt like until now. This place used to be called Mikes subs or something and they used to have great submarines. I guess Mike or that owner is long gone and he took the fresh supplies with him.
I mean they charges like 8.88 just for the submarine-it takes a special kind of wonderful to screw up a ham and lettuce sub. DONT GO- the good news was that I didnt sick-which makes me lucky unlike others customers paying almost 9 bucks for a stale tasting lunch.
Does anyone know if they have been checked out recently by health services-It was very funny that when the lady took my food order-she put on a plastic pair of gloves to take my money, then replaced those gloves with a new pair to make my sub?? why this when the place does not have fresh supplies. I was wearing a suit and tie so maybe they thought I was the...
