Edmonton City Hall Water Fountain — Local services in Central Core

The absolutely destroyed the beautiful fountain that was once here. Not only of the destroyed this fountain in the city of Edmonton and place for children to come and have fun now it's only a few inches deep and absolutely a waste of time might as well go to the river considering the government of Canada got rid of the one at the Federal Building as well which is super disappointing so now we is a community have to pay to go inside places to actually get some water activities because the city council is so stupid they keep destroying Churchill Square I have a great idea let's not vote for Liberal mayor's. And not vote for terrorism imported from India...

A bit of water is a nice contrast to the concrete bleakness of Churchill Square. In the winter it's an outdoor skating rink with free skate rentals within certain hours (they've varied over the years, so it's best to look it up). It also benefits more from the presence of tall trees and greenery than Churchill Square does. It's definitely less of an oven in the summer and the shape of City Hall means it doesn't suffer from Churchill Square's horrible wind...

The water fountain just finished a complete renovation. And it looks great. Some people might not like the change because the old fountain had a wading pool up to the knees and the new is only up to the ankles.
