I phoned in for a pick up order and got the respond that the order will be ready for 20 minutes so I placed an order for pick up at 11:45am. We got there at 11:40 and they just started making it. During the waiting process we asked for updates from the waitress and she just turned around and ignored us. Finally half an hour past the pick up time they finished the order, which for a downtown establishment it's very behind in time. If you confirmed that I can pick up at a certain time, I expect to walk out of there with the order at that time. I would have adjusted accordingly if you told me you couldn't make the time. When she gave me the order, not only was she not apologetic, she argued that I should have put in the order the day ahead. Again, don't promise I can pick up at a certain time when you can't make it. I asked for fish sauce on the side for my order, and before I left I asked her again for the fish sauce and she replied that it's already in there. When I opened my order there's no fish sauce. Food tasted great, but logistics really...
Read moreFood was delicious, but the service was really slow. Don’t recommend if you don’t have a lot of time or if you want to eat with the other people at your table. Went with 2 friends from work on our lunch hour. Called ahead to order to dine in and asked for it to be ready by a certain time as we have a very time sensitive lunch hour and didn’t want to worry about not having enough time for food prep. They didn’t start preparing our food until after we arrived. We all ordered the same ramen with a couple sides to share and they brought each item out separately -ramen bowls were brought out 10-15 mins apart and had to wait 15+ mins for the first one. We didn’t get to eat together and I had to get mine to go because there wasn’t time left in our lunch hour to eat it. We expressed a couple times that we were in a rush and asked if it would be much longer and we’re told our food was ready, but then still had to continue to wait. Really disappointed! First time at the new location and was looking forward to a fun outing...
Read moreI used to go to hoang long back when it was at wem. It used to be my fave Vietnamese resto, so I was happy to stumble on this . I'm not sure if it's the same one, but the menu is almost identical. The restaurant itself is very urban. The decor was nice and hip. Customer service could use improvement as the lady didn't greet me at all. I ordered a vermicelli with all toppings and NO peanuts. When I got my food, it had so many peanuts :( not a super big deal since I'm not allergic, but still a little frustrating since I'm not a fan of peanuts. It was okay, but sad that the taste wasn't quite like I remembered it. The spring roll didn't taste good and hurt my tummy. The serving size is pretty generous and super filling. It wasn't terrible overall, but I've had better vermicelli bowls elsewhere. For me, it's not worth the $21 I spent. But at least now I won't wonder about this place...
