Cavern — Restaurant in Edmonton

I have no words to describe my love for this place. My friend and I got served by one of the owners (young lady) and she just gave us the best experience ever. She has the knowledge, she’s amazingly friendly and she’s sooo passionate for her job, I couldn’t ask for more! They have a simple and very well built menu. If you don’t know much about cheeses or wine, they can certainly answer to all your questions. My favourite part; I told her what kind of taste I was looking for in a cheese and she totally nailed it! She offered me the best cheese ever, of course for an extra charge but nothing was overpriced. QUALITY AND AMAZING SERVICE! Five starts to my new favourite place in town!

I will come back again and again and definitely recommend to all my friends!

Brilliant spot for a glass of wine and nibbles after wandering around downtown. They have a wine preservation system to keep the open bottles fresh, which spares any disappointment at being served a glass of stale wine. No, this place is serious in what they do. The salami was melt.in.mouth. Cheese choices were happily left up to the monger and we ended up doing a tour of Québec. I have had some negative experiences with truffle oil and so was hesitant to try the truffle popcorn but it was prepared with other seasonings and a restrained amount of truffle oil. Really good! Very small little joint with a handful of tables. Went on a Wednesday at dinner time and it was not busy. Ordered a cheese board and a charcuterie board. The owner served us and she was extremely knowledgeable. We gladly took her recommendations, including for wine. Very nice ingredients, but exceptional service. When I commented on how good the apple jelly was, she told us that her Mom had made it, and she sent me home with a sweet little sample.
