okay, so. i figured it’s about time i posted a review of some sort to let you guys know how great you are. this is directed at the owner of the franchise and the staff almost exclusively, but if it makes whoever’s reading this want to try this place out that’s a bonus.
i’m autistic, and one of the main things i have problems with is cooking for myself and/or being able to actually stomach food. i have to know the exact texture, temperature, and taste of a meal ahead of time - and if that changes, i won’t be able to stomach the same thing i had previously loved even years down the line. this is referred to as a “safe food”.
i have been ordering delivery from this fatburger multiple times a week (and at times, when i was really struggling, once a day for weeks at a time) over the span of YEARS, sometimes under multiple names - and the quality of the food has NEVER wavered. in the pouring rain, food arrived perfectly dry, wrapped in a plastic bag. in -35 and three feet of snow i've had burgers wrapped anywhere from three to five times to ensure they arrived warm. for a franchise/chain, the sheer amount of care they put into every order is astounding. because of my sensory needs i often have to put in “special requests” some of which change every time i order: lettuce and tomato on the side one day, honey mustard on the side of the onion rings, no onions extra ketchup another. they don’t have to follow these requests, technically speaking, but they ALWAYS do, even when they’re busy.
i know you may not feel like your work is important: after all, “how important could working at a burger place be? it’s not saving lives.” well, i want to let you guys know that this place is incredibly important to me. a lot of people take the small comfort of always knowing for certain that they‘ll be able to feed themselves for granted. but to me, it really is a huge relief in my life to be able to know that no matter what the circumstances are or how bad my sensory issues, i’ll always be able to order something from here and have it show up exactly the way it’s supposed to. so, long overdue, here’s...
Read moreRe: January 12 2022order : We have supported local business during these uncertain times by ordering from this location frequently, only to be told , by the manager, that he had made the burgers himself and they were made correct.
However I have the photos to prove that the burger came with mushrooms instead of bacon! He outright denies it, and said he’d worked there for 3 years. He would not believe me that they put mushrooms on the burger instead of bacon. The worst customer service I’ve received from a restaurant ever. Highly disappointing.
It took so long to get a refund that I was not able to reorder.
If the manager would have taken the time to listen to me, there is a easier way for restaurants to fix orders they make incorrect: by canceling and refunding a new order. He was so rude he wouldn’t even let me explain how to do this…he then proceeded to hang up on me.
Now the person who ordered the burger has had to go without supper tonight, as they cannot...
Read moreI was looking for a good burger and I sure found one! I have a gluten allergy and often find it difficult to make it clear to the staff but the young woman who took my order understood and not only gave me the ingredient menu but pointed out my options herself. I had a lettuce wrap Bacon Cheddar lettuce wrap. It took them only a few minutes to make it and as advertised it was fresh and I could tell it was not microwaved or reheated.
The server brought it to my table with a genuine smile and presence that indicated sincerity. Another staff came to ask if I liked it and if I needed anything. When I was finished she picked up my tray and also had genuine care.
