Where do I start. Every time I come here I always ask for fresh chicken which means you drop it right away from Frozen and I don't mind waiting for my fresh piping hot chicken. I'm a chef and I know what fresh hot chicken is. I went here last week I've asked for fresh chicken like always. The young lady said no problem however it will be 25. Sure no problem I don't mind waiting as long as it's fresh and hot. We waited outside they brought the chicken to us after 15 minutes I knew right away it wasn't fresh. We got home and it was warm like they took the ones that's been sitting in the warmer. I called and complained the manager said she would replace it. I called up tonight to get my order again. However the staff there needs to no proper manners. When I say please and thank you they don't say you're welcome sir the rude. I'm a customer you treat me like a king this is my money so learn respect and manners. My wife is from the Philippines she told me most people from the Philippines don't have manners. It doesn't work that way here learn how to speak to your customers in proper way. The staff needs a huge coaching. Also just because you're in the manager position mean you should be in the manager position. You guys really need to understand and learn customer service you know customer satisfaction. Clearly they don't want continuous business because it's not the first time. The manager even tried to tell me that it was fresh. Clearly she doesn't know what fresh is and there's no communication there. If it wasn't for my family I wouldn't go there because there's no flavor on the chicken like Popeyes and KFC. However I did call back tonight while I was eating my chicken at home and I asked for the manager and I told her thank you this is hot fresh chicken I can see the steam coming off it and I can't even hold the chicken in my hands it's so hot and fresh unlike last last time. Stop lying to your customers. Because if I'm spending my hard-earned money there I want exactly what I want and I will keep coming back and complaining until they get it right. At the end of the day this is not my problem this is your problem. Higher better staff and management's....
Read moreJollibee on Calgary Trail in Edmonton delivers the crispy, juicy chicken it's famous for globally, presenting a nostalgic and satisfying experience especially for the Filipino community, but the cleanliness of the dining area and amenities can significantly detract from the meal.
Food Quality The signature fried chicken stands out for its crisp exterior and satisfyingly juicy interior, best enjoyed with Jollibee's gravy and rice. Many guests feel the chicken is more succulent compared to competitors like KFC or Popeyes, though some have found it a bit salty or mildly seasoned. Portions are generous, and other menu items like Jolly Spaghetti and Peach Mango Pie uphold the brand's reputation, making the shop a popular spot for those seeking Filipino comfort food.
Atmosphere and Service Jollibee's energetic, family-friendly vibe remains a draw, with staff working hard to embody the fun, community-oriented spirit of the brand. Service is generally prompt and pleasant even during high-traffic periods. However, frequent waits and long queues around meal rush times can occur, especially during the initial opening phase.
Cleanliness and Restaurant Maintenance A major area for concern is the cleanliness of the dining area, washrooms, and fountain drink stations, as described by patrons and corroborated by recent visits. Many tables, restrooms, and communal machines have reportedly been left uncleaned, despite having ample staff on site, sometimes requiring guests to request basic necessities like napkins. These persistent lapses in hygiene can overshadow the positive food experience and may impact confidence in overall food safety standards.
Final Thoughts While the chicken and classic Jollibee dishes remain a highlight and frequent reason for visits, the visible lack of upkeep in the dining areas could deter repeat diners, particularly those sensitive to cleanliness. For fans of the brand or Filipino cuisine, the food is reliably good, but improvements in dining room hygiene are needed for a more consistently...
Read moreToday my fiance and I tried Jollibee for the first time.
We decided to go during late lunch period, which had a line of about 25 people. It was surprising that they take orders in advance (in the line up via paper orders) before you get to the till. Although the order is not processed until you get to the till.
We waited in line for about 7 minutes and waited for an additional 12 minutes to have our food. When we got our order, it was given to us in a to go plastic bag which we took to our vehicles.
We ordered a "Yum burger with fries and fountain pop, 2 peach mango pies, 2 piece chicken meal with corn, gravy and fries as well as another fountain pop".
The first taste of the pie was surprisingly different. I expected the pie to be different, but the pie and mango mix is very good. If you like these types of fruits, this dessert will suit you. But if you are an apple or other type of pie person; you may dislike it. Their chicken, at first bite is very good, it has a sweeter taste and the skin is very crispy and the flavour is deep inside the meat. Although, I can say that from other chicken places such as KFC or Poppey's, Poppey's would take my money. Their chicken has a stronger flavour, but I believe that is because of their intense cajun flavour.
The gravy is adequate, it does not exceed some other fast food places, as it is similar to KFC gravy. The fries are basic, light salt, made in advance and are not crunchy or crispy. The Yum burger has a distinct "onion" taste. For its size, you would assume it is a basic cheeseburger but it has a flavour that is enjoyable, as well the mayo sauce they use is made with something else and is delicious.
I can recommend this to another individual, although next time I would try something else to see what other items taste like. For sure if you come to Jollibees, try the chicken and the pie :)
I can assume I would come one more time and that would be it for my...
