If a customer comes in, and comes straight to the pickup counter, the most basic thing to do is to greet them and to ask if they are picking up an order instead of ignoring them.

Today, I came to the pickup counter for a Skip order, where I saw my drinks already ready and sitting on the counter. I had been staring at them/the employees for at least 7+ minutes while being ignored. At the same time, 3-4 employees took their time making other drinks behind the counter - without acknowledging me or anyone else. Instead of somebody asking me for my order number etc, I finally decided to say "HI, I've been standing here for a while waiting for a pickup order" to an employee who was finally facing my direction. During this whole time, they all avoided eye contact and/or did not react to any customers.

When I got home, I noticed that none of the drinks came with extra toppings I ordered (coconut jelly and strawberry pearls). One drink had zero toppings at all, even though I made sure to pay extra to ensure this. This was a waste of almost $8 per drink and 15minx2 drive.

The same thing happened on a visit earlier last month. I had ordered three drinks - all with pearls and coconut jelly. The staff seemed very confused and didn't seem to know what I was saying -- the two employees that day even clarified with me before and after I placed the order ("so just to make sure, you want coconut jelly on _" multiple times). How come I still did not receive these toppings after so many clarifications from their end?

On today's visit, I even made sure to select coconut jelly, which I now see that you have listed as a topping option on SkipTheDishes. Again, I still did not receive this or the strawberry pearls after paying extra. Will we ever know if you have coconut jelly, or not?

I was once a supporter of this place when it first opened - I shared it with my friends, and even came here on my birthday. Tapioca pearls are the make-or-break when it comes to bubble tea, and the softness/chewiness of XFT's in-house-made pearls had my approval.

However, my past few visits have been terrible. Please make some simple operational changes if keeping customers is your goal, starting with basic...

This place is very bright and airy, but the seating is limited if you’re looking for a comfortable place to enjoy your drink. First time I came here I asked a lot of questions, and they weren’t answering any of them and looked at me like I was dumb. I’ve been to at least 12 different boba shops and ordered hundreds of time, but their menu was pretty overwhelming and the titles weren’t very descriptive. I had no clue what anything really was. So I just decided to order something simple, I got the brown sugar pearl fresh milk but got it confused with actual milk tea. I was disappointed to take a sip and just taste a mouthful of milk. It tasted like I could have went to the store and poured milk from the carton for a few dollars into the cup. The only good part was the toppings. I got the little jelly bunny on the side because it looked super cute and the homemade boba pearls were also really good. Hands down the best tasting boba I've ever had, the brown sugar pearls are just delectable, 100% recommend.

Slight warning the milk drink is exactly as it's labeled, milk with a little flavoring and boba... for whatever reason this location gets review bombed by people ordering milk at a bubble tea place and being disappointed that it was milk.... turn on your brain for a split second (no matter how hard that may be) and just think about what your ordering before you order it... Xing Fu Tang is hands down one of the best boba places in Edmonton, all ya'll sleeping on them cause you cant read.

ps. I personally recommend their original milk tea or the coconut coffee, all of the fruit drinks are fun as well especially the one's with the lil bunny on top.
