I went to Thai express and they messed up I guess a lost in translation? Anyway I said fried rice with tofu. They put Thai rice and I said fried rice! That’s it. No veggies. Well, I told them, and they got mad at me. And said this is the only time I am doing this! I will make another for you and was having an attitude and usually he is a nice man to me. I was kind and his attitude really hurt to see. And I said forget it! Give me my money back! And he said no and made my food again. I asked for extra green onion didn’t even get that. Lol anyway And I felt shame and said I ain’t coming here no more! And he just waved. Like who wants to eat food after they make you feel bad?? I spent lots there tonight for my kids! My kids got 4 chicken pad Thai. I got the rice. I haven’t been there for some time, but I spent a lot over the years. So I don’t know why I got attitude over a meal. They have the Thai or basil. but I think I was specific on just asking for fried rice no veggies just tofu. Still, the attitude I got was not appreciated. I did not specify...
Read moreJust ordered a yellow curry for take out. They didn’t mention until they finished making my order that they were out of potatoes, which they “replaced” with baby corns. There was pineapple mixed into the curry and from what I understand there is no pineapple in yellow curry. The peppers were raw, the carrots were raw in the middle, there was almost no sauce on the dish and the chicken was questionable at best. Just a terrible experience. Do not recommend. I have been to other Thai Express locations and had amazing experiences (the Sherwood Park mall location is amazing!) This location is a let down. Seemed too busy talking in their...
Read moreWhenever we are in Edmonton and want to satisfy our cravings for Pad Thai, we will go to Thai Express Southpark. We stopped by for lunch and ordered spicy Pad Thai with Shrimp (stir fry thin rice noodles with sweet sour sauce, bean sprouts, green onions, egg, tofu, salted radish and shrimp), Pad See Ew (stir fry large flat rice noodles with soy sauce, egg and Chinese broccoli), Rice with Eggplant (steamed white rice, eggplant, carrots, bell pepper and tofu) and Mango Salad (mango, lettuce, shallots, red pepper, coriander and mint served with Thai dressing). Everything tasted delicious and appetizing! The portions were good, service was fast and the place is bright and clean. They also have promotions on certain items throughout the year and we will try some on...
