Coach's Corner Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Edmonton

I have been thinking about leaving a review for this place for the last month but have been too nervous but now that I see someone else has left a review about the same waitress I feel a little braver. I went into Coaches' corner with my boyfriend and had an absolutely horrible experience. We went for karaoke. The music was a little loud, but the vibe was ok. There was a girl there who was super drunk and making an absolute fool of herself. This girl introduced herself to me and my boyfriend as Holly and told us she worked there. She proceeded to tell my boyfriend and me how hot she thought we were and that she'd been invited for threesomes with couples before. We got very awkward and told her we were not asking her for one. She laughed loudly, winked, and said not yet. She then left us alone and went back to her table. About an hour later, my boyfriend went out for a smoke. I watched Holly follow him outside, but I decided not to follow as I know he can take care of himsel! f, I would later come to regret this. When he came back in, he told me Holly propositioned him for a blow job and told him she bet him that she could do it better than I could and she would blow his mind. We paid our bill and left. To have someone who treats customers like this working at your establishment is disgusting. Although we were able to remain mature and walk away, this was something that stuck with us, and we told all of our friends and made sure to tell them to spread the word as well. Im so happy someone else finally spoke up about this girl. She clearly has something wrong with her. I hope management actually takes time to read reviews because they are not just losing walk ins like me. Now they are losing regulars. I can't speak to the rest of her review as I only went the once and will never go back, but if people continue to go back to service like her, it really speaks...

I wish I had reviewed this place before the new ownership, but the original R Pub didn't need a good review because it wasn't trying to be something it wasn't. It was just a neighborhood pub. It had decently priced food (some of which was fresh cut and homemade) and quirky fun karaoke entertainment which made it have a fun atmosphere for a local watering hole. But now under new ownership and with some staff changes, I wanted to give my 2 cents.

Prices have got up on everything. Although a few new menu items have been added, plus new wing flavors, its nothing you can't get elsewhere. The things that where homemade in the kitchen all seem to be replaced with frozen items (I'm not 100% but I know what frozen tastes like). Half price wing night just seems like regular priced wing night now. I do enjoy karaoke nights with their amazing DJ. Yet something just doesn't feel the same anymore. Lastly, the last time the wifey and I ate there, on a not so busy afternoon, we had to wait a while to even be looked at. It wasn't until a waitress that we recognized showed up for her shift that we got some service.

We have since stopped our weekly, sometimes 2X weekly nights out at our local pub. I'm sure we will go again. But only for the convivence of being so close to home and...

The R PUB is getting a solid one star from me and if i could off give a half star that is what they would be getting, now my wife and i did like going to this place until we had a very unpleasant experience with one of there bartender and we stopped going to the R PUB , but as time goes along i started to pop into the R PUB a bit sometimes by myself or I'll bring a friend. However, I am saying all this to say on Saturday 3/2024 I decided to pop into the R PUB this time with my wife to have some wings and beer and by the time i got home late the evening i started to feel sick with endless bowel movements and couldn't even sleep that entire night because every 15 minutes i was in the washroom and with hot flashes and vomiting, I couldn't even make it to work today clearly this is food poisoning and its the only place i ate. The only thing different i had this time when having the wings was the ranch and chipotle dip, but I am very sure i won't be eating at the R PUB after...
