Walked passed this place after lunch and decided to give it a try because we are always searching for a good Pineapple Bun as the ones at T&T are only so-so. The Pineapple Bun here is only $1.35 but it is only 2/3rd the size of the ones sold at T&T. The bun is slightly better as it has more of a taste verse the one at T&T but it's not so much better that it's worth the drive or the bitter aftertaste being served by the unwelcoming and borderline rude lady at the counter. After reading some of the other reviews on this place, appears I am not the only one who found the women to be distasteful. I seriously wonder if the owners read any of their reviews....won't be going back

They removed the plastic bag from the bread before handing out my order without telling me, didn't even notice that (all packed) until the oil stains started showing up on the outside of the paper bag. All Bread became dry and awful taste when I was going to eat them ( not enough moisture not soft anymore). Not sure why they removed the plastic bags, maybe they want to reuse them on their other bread again? Very rude service too. Anyway, Won't shop there again. No wonder Chinatown is dying.

The best Chinese bakery in town! Soft and fresh baos my kids love for snack or quick breakfast/lunch. Mango cake is SO good and perfect amount of sweetness for Asian palette (meaning not too sweet). Good pricing too.

Love their bread and egg tarts...their selection is not as good as the HK bakery but taste more fresh and yummy..however the lady behind the counter is always rude? She won't greet you or say thanks... No manner at all... She will always look at you in a blank face... Couple times I tried to strike a conversation with her as I am the only one customer in store and she just ignore me... Ouch... If she is ruby then that's just sad lol

Update: I went to Ruby last week and finally the cashier said hi and thank you!!! My previous review is 3 stars. Now I changed to 4! Hopefully I can see more smile!!! For food quality... It's good and tasty as usual! Their egg tart always sold out by afternoon. If you want to try it make sure u go when...

Great little bakery! They make small batches of baked goods that are always fresh and always made with love. The prices are super affordable and the ladies at the front are always friendly. I've bought my co-workers here once and now they're hooked and they love it! They even bring home baked good to their families because they love it too!

Also, from what I know, it is family owned so there are times when they family is on holiday and the shop is closed for days, maybe even for a week so make sure (if you're not in the immediate vicinity) to call ahead! But for the most part they are always open. Except...
