**UPDATE** Came back on new year's Eve with some friends. We were sat down, ordered, everything was good then everything just went south. Server told us about the 2020 NYE event they were having where if you got a $20 ticket before the end of the hockey game you got a free drink, pizza buffet between 10-11pm, and free wing card for the year. So the 4 of us got the tickets, but none of us got free drinks, when we asked for an update on the pizza we were told by two different people that it would be served at 10:30 and 11pm. And they prolly would have forgotten to give us our wing cards too if we didn't ask about the drink which they still did not honor. Ticket also says 8pm. Why put a time there when free drinks stop after the hockey game and pizza is not available till after 11? Left around 11:15 because still no pizza and sick of being lied to. Customer WiFi: yes Washrooms: yes Power outlets: no Pet friendly: no Parking: yes Food: came by on a wing night and the food came out at a decent place. Wings didn't quite have enough sauce on them and the nachos didn't really have a lot of cheese on them either. Service: we got decent service but the server seemed pretty checked out the whole night. It wasn't overly busy but we barely saw our server and we asked for waters at the beginning of our meal once we sat down and ended up getting it with our bill at the end. Atmosphere: your typical sports bar. Fairly clean and upbeat atmosphere and feel.

Ordered a drink at The Canadian Brewhouse and what did I get? A glass garnished with what looked like a half-dead leaf straight out of a compost bin. It was wilted, brown, and clearly shouldn’t have made it past the kitchen—let alone to a paying customer. When I pointed it out to the staff, instead of owning up or offering any kind of apology, the server laughed. Yes, laughed—as if serving spoiled garnish was some kind of joke. This isn’t just poor service, it’s straight-up disrespectful. I came to enjoy a drink, not question the hygiene standards of the bar or be brushed off by staff who clearly don’t care about quality or accountability. If this is how concerns are handled here, I’d hate to see what goes on behind the scenes. This wasn’t just a bad experience—it was a red flag. Do better.

Dined here for the first time. Lovely restaurant with a cozy but vibrant pub atmosphere and charming staff. They serve outstanding food for very reasonable prices. I had a Spicy Mango Margarita and Fish & Chips. *Food* - Fish&Chips: Well seasoned. Perfectly crispy and golden brown on the outside. Fish was slightly overcooked for me, but was still very moist and tender. I chose salad instead of fries which in hindsight was a mistake since the watery lettuce did not go well with the dish. I think they could warm the plate before serving so the dish doesn’t go cold too fast. - Margarita: Bold flavor (BBQ rub salt rim, sounds weird but really good) and very refreshing. Slight hint of mango. Not too sweet or citrusy. Doesn’t have a lot of alcohol (1oz) but overall very good for the price.

Okaay!!!

Do you want to be ignored for 1 hour and 47 minutes by your waitress, after asking her multiple times for the bill? And she continuously walks past you every 5 minutes for that 1 hour and 47 minutes? Would you like to in addition to being ignored, when you finally ask another waitress for the bill; she goes and talks to your waitress then you look over 5 minutes later and your waitress is pointing at your table and laughing in a group with other waitresses?? Then when she finally brings you the bill, she is passive aggressive and tries to gaslight you into believing that you never asked for the bill? Well this location is the place for you!

I do not recommend this location at all. I can't express how frustrating the service was, I'm always kind to service staff as I understand how stressful the industry is but... We spent a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes in that restaurant, and I would say 20 minutes were spent eating. Frankly, my appetite is not large so I always take the rest to go... so I ask for a box right! My food was clumped up and cold by the time I got the boxes. There was no saving my leftovers, they were genuinely in a brick form.

I was giving her the benefit of the doubt. maybe she forgot about us, maybe she was new, etc etc. Until around 6 tables of hers came in, ate, and left before we were even acknowledged for the bill. The whole one hour and forty-seven minutes, I was holding my card in my hand, around eye level............. she walked past every 5 minutes, made eye contact with me, and looked at my card, and didn't say anything... just walked away.

Snap back to when she finally brought me the bill. I was considering still tipping because it's rough out here.. until she said "why didn't you guys ask me for the bill?" I just looked at her, so confused. I said we asked a few times, and you kept just looking at us and walking away. She continues: "maybe if you would have asked, I would have brought it!" I just go silent because why was SHE the one giving attitude?

Honestly. I wouldn't bother going to this location. The food was pretty decent, it's a fun environment, but I'm so embarrassed over the service.

RECCOMENDATION: Go to The Furniture Warehouse on jasper ave! cheaper food (meals under $10 for INCREDIBLE quality), same portion sizes, same environment (honestly better, it's so fun), amazing staff who honestly make you feel like they've known you forever, and just altogether... more worth it.

It is upsetting because I grew up always supporting the brewhouse, but this location has continued to disappoint me more and more. I would rather give me and my families hard earned money to the furniture warehouse.

TLDR: Don't go here if you value customer service and yummy...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Canadian Brewhouse located in downtown Edmonton, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home.

First and foremost, the service at The Canadian Brewhouse was top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about their extensive menu and drink offerings. They went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Whether it was recommending their signature dishes or providing timely service throughout the evening, they truly made me feel like a valued guest.

Speaking of the menu, The Canadian Brewhouse boasts a wide selection of delectable options that cater to every palate. From traditional pub fare to mouthwatering burgers, pizzas, and a variety of appetizers, there was something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed their famous wings, which were cooked to perfection and served with a choice of tantalizing sauces. The portion sizes were generous, and the food was delivered promptly, maintaining its freshness and quality.

Another standout feature of The Canadian Brewhouse was their impressive drink selection. They had an extensive list of craft beers on tap, both local and international, allowing me to explore and discover new flavors. The staff was more than willing to provide recommendations based on my preferences, ensuring that I found the perfect brew to complement my meal. They also had a great selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages, catering to all drink preferences.

The ambiance of the restaurant was delightful, with a spacious and well-designed layout. The Canadian Brewhouse offers a welcoming environment for both casual outings and larger gatherings. Multiple large screens were strategically placed throughout the venue, making it an ideal spot to catch the latest sports events while enjoying a delicious meal and drinks with friends.

One thing that stood out to me was the attention to cleanliness and safety measures. The Canadian Brewhouse maintained strict hygiene protocols, which was evident throughout my visit. I felt comfortable and reassured knowing that they prioritize the health and well-being of their guests.

In conclusion, my experience at The Canadian Brewhouse in downtown Edmonton was truly exceptional. From the friendly and attentive service to the mouthwatering food and impressive drink selection, everything surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I will undoubtedly be returning to The Canadian Brewhouse for more delightful evenings...

This was my first visit to the Canadian Brewhouse in Downtown Edmonton, and unfortunately, it was a disappointment. We booked a table for a work lunch (12 people) via OpenTable the day before, but that didn’t seem to matter much upon arrival.

The Experience: Getting There: The location is a hassle to access due to ongoing construction—not the restaurant's fault, but something to be aware of.

Reservation Mix-Up: Despite booking in advance, the waitress had no record of our OpenTable reservation. To her credit, she was friendly and accommodating, quickly finding space for all 12 of us, which I appreciated.

Condition of the Restaurant: This location feels neglected and run-down. The seating (benches) was falling apart, the menus were sticky, and the general cleanliness was below the standard I’ve experienced at other Canadian Brewhouse locations. It’s clear there has been a lack of investment here for a while. At some point, management needs to decide whether to renovate or close—because it’s only going downhill from here.

Food Quality: Mediocre at best. Not a single person in our group was satisfied with their meal. One guest received their food significantly later than everyone else, meaning they were still eating while the rest of us were finished. We would have been better off at the Ice District location or a different chain altogether.

The Most Frustrating Part – Automatic Gratuity: A mandatory gratuity was added due to the size of our party, which is standard at many places. However, it was not communicated to me when I paid, leading me to unknowingly double tip. Yes, I should have checked the receipt, but clear communication from the server—like in most restaurants—would have avoided the issue.

Final Verdict: Would I return? No. Would I recommend it? No. Is there potential for improvement? No.

This is the worst Canadian Brewhouse location I’ve ever been to. Unless major improvements are made, it might be best to shut it down and let a better restaurant take...
