Appalling Staff Behaviour, Useless Management, and Hopeless Supervision
Update 2023-12-18; To all readers, I recommend investing your valuable time and money elsewhere. Exercise caution when choosing to order from such corporate restaurants where customer value appears to be nonexistent. There are superior alternatives just a brief two-minute walk away on University Boulevard, offering not only tastier and healthier food but also more competitive pricing and quicker service. Avoiding this Tim Hortons location, will yield a more satisfying and enjoyable dining experience for you.
After contacting Tim Hortons customer service on November 24th, I was told that this issue (scroll down to read what happened) will be dealt with internally and that I will get a response from the manager of this location, soon. I never got any response and went to talk to them directly today. The store supervisor (her name is Racquel) says that she never received an email from the customer service department. As a result, this problem was never discussed internally. Next, I called Connie Lay, Retail Food Services Manager at UBC, to discuss the problem. She also says that Tim Hortons never raised this issue and she was not aware of the situation. Further, the only answer Connie has for fixing such appalling staff behaviour is that she will "talk" to the employees. Given all the experiences I have had trying to get an answer to what happened, I highly doubt any positive change is going to come out of this. This is absolutely useless management and supervision. Such conduct is unacceptable and damaging to UBC. The university truly needs to weed out such irresponsible people if they ever want to keep their reputation.
Original Review 2023-11-24; I order food at this Tim's location every day. Today, I am super disappointed with the staff's behaviour and customer service. Leah (the counter lady) started yelling at me and wanted to kick me out of the store for a clear mistake that she made. I have followed up about this issue with the customer service centre and will talk to the store manager soon, as well.
I placed a mobile order on 2023-11-24 at 12:02 PM and went to pick up my order at 12:30 PM. My order number was 9478. Upon arrival, I didn't find my order on the counter so I asked the staff lady (her name is LEAH) and showed her my order. She checked with the supervisor and said that I needed to wait. I waited for 15 more minutes and asked her again for my order. This time, Leah suddenly got angry and said that she already handed the order to me and that I was trying to get the food again. I was obviously shocked and told her that she did not give me any food yet. After which she said that she was not having this conversation anymore and I needed to leave the store. I tried to explain again and said that she needs to check the receipts to see if they actually made my order yet. As soon as I said this, Leah grabbed all the receipts and threw them in the garbage, and said that she couldn't do that. It was funny that her supervisor also said the same thing while in reality, I did not get my order at all. Consequently, after one hour, trying to have a simple lunch turned into this unnecessary conversation of why a customer who orders food at the same Tim Hortons location every day would do something like this to save $10. In the end, Leah did not accept her mistake and proved her childish behaviour. I am extremely disappointed and will stop using Tim Hortons until they give me an answer to why they treated me...

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Tim Hortons located on the UBC campus in Vancouver, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. Here's my review of this particular Tim Hortons location:
Convenience: As a student at UBC, having a Tim Hortons right on campus is incredibly convenient. It's the perfect place to start the day with a delicious breakfast or to grab a quick bite in between classes. The location is easily accessible, and its proximity to various UBC buildings makes it a popular spot for students, faculty, and staff. I truly appreciate the convenience it offers within the campus environment.
Food and Beverages: Tim Hortons' menu never disappoints, and this location is no exception. The breakfast options are varied and satisfying, with my personal favorites being the breakfast sandwiches and wraps. The quality and taste of the food were consistently excellent, with fresh ingredients and generous portions. The coffee, as always, was brewed to perfection, and the selection of baked goods and pastries was delightful. From the classic donuts to the specialty items, there was something for everyone's taste buds. It's a place where I can always count on finding a delicious treat or a comforting cup of coffee.
Service: The staff at this Tim Hortons location were friendly, efficient, and attentive. They consistently provided outstanding service, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for every customer. Despite the busy hours, the team managed to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, taking orders with a smile and delivering them promptly. The staff's dedication and willingness to go the extra mile to accommodate requests deserve praise.
Ambiance: The ambiance of the café was warm and inviting, creating a comfortable atmosphere for both studying and socializing. The seating area was spacious and well-maintained, with a mix of communal tables and cozy corners. Whether I wanted to have a focused study session or catch up with friends, I always found a suitable spot. The cleanliness of the café was also impressive, reflecting their commitment to providing a pleasant environment.
Pricing: The pricing at this Tim Hortons location was reasonable and aligned with the quality and portion sizes of the food and beverages. The affordability made it an attractive choice for students and anyone looking for value without compromising on taste.
Overall, the Tim Hortons at UBC Campus offers a convenient and refreshing experience that enhances the daily routines of students and staff alike. With its delicious menu, excellent service, inviting ambiance, and convenient location, it has become a beloved part of the UBC community. I highly recommend this Tim Hortons to anyone on campus or in the surrounding area, as it consistently delivers a top-notch...
Read moreUpdate (Dec 2021): be prepared to spend 60-90 minutes waiting for your order (no that's not an exaggeration, please set aside at least 90 minutes, regardless of the time or day)
This place is terrible, no seriously.
Where do I begin, I ordered a toasted four cheese bagel with plain cream cheese and a medium double double, the cream cheese on the bagel wasn't plain and the double double was watered down and was probably one of the worst Tim's coffee's I've ever had.
Not to mention that order took AGES to make, by the time I got the coffee it was just warm and the amount of people waiting for orders was steadily increasing.
The cashier I dealt with was unfriendly and it seemed I was burdening her when she put my order in, I asked what the price difference between a small and medium coffee were and she just pointed at the menu, the price wasn't listed on there, so I told her. She then apathetically told me the difference in a barely audible voice.
It was massively disorganized the staff don't know what they're doing, calling out random items "Large Iced Coffee" rather than order numbers well knowing multiple people ordered a "Large Iced Coffee" in my painfully long time waiting I witnessed an order dispute between two customers because the staff didn't call out and identify order numbers. I got my bagel, and I asked "where's the double-double?" the staff member looked at me annoyed, I had to repeat myself multiple times and then she pointed to a random cup of coffee that had been sitting on the counter for a while, a cup of coffee they DIDNT even call out.
Don't be fooled by the aesthetics of this Tim's, it's just a façade for terrible service and food and a waste of space.
I recommend the Tim's near Koerner, long wait times but drastically better in every way.
P.S. they do have Tim's rewards here which is the...
