Horrible. I have tried various Indian style food and this is by far the worst.
I have emailed the restaurant and messaged on Facebook given ample chance to call and rectify so I will just give my experience here..
My husband works long hours so it was our first date night out in a while. He loves Indian food ,butter chicken to be specific! We went here for butter chicken and my favorite aloo gobi! And it was horrendous!!!!
First off, the lady working here didn't want anything to do with us (basically off in space) , took our order (drinks) I specifically asked for a fruity drink -I don't drink so with that being said it was very specific, she said oh yes we can do that (without even knowing if they could) I over heard her asking another employee if they can make the drink... they added a bunch of I think mint.. to the drink it was down right disgusting but for a new addition (indian)I expected more. Since we did tell her we have traveled many places and love Indian food. Anyways she proceeded to take our actual food order.
We were the ONLY ones in here to sit. We ordered like I said bitter chicken and aloo gobi
What a mistake that was. As soon as we complained about the butter chicken( Grey in a nasty gravy) definitely not butter chicken, the lady said I will speak to chef. She came back and said so what's wrong you don't like the food. We'll obviously not. When in every other restaurant it's orange in color for butter chicken, she decided to argue and say this is how they make it in India!
This made me even more mad. Again my husband who works his butt off, wanted to try this new place and what a horrible experience.
I have emailed. And messaged these people on Facebook book to try and rectify something but no response other then for me to come in to the restaurant. We paid full price even after the employee said we would remove it.
I suggest avoiding this place. Ya maybe something on the menu is OK, but this is not what true Indian food is. They need to stick with the one business in this building as they can not handle both!
The employee just laughed at my husband and thought everything was a joke because we had to pay full price for everything . When he cheff doesn't know what he is doing...
Everything we ordered was burnt ... samosa, nans (garlic and butter) .
I wish I could rate them less than 0 stars.
I will not go back and do not recommend anyone trying the indian branch of food they have.
Any other company would have had the decency to call a customer back after paying full price for food they NEVER ate.
Plus the employees made US put the food in the storage containers, watched us struggle as they are such small containers and just had a good laugh. Hence why 0$ tip!
Oh ya forgot to add.you have to request a bag if you want your take out items to go . Cuz that's not common sense...
Read moreI ordered food through Uber Eats and waited for over an hour. When the delivery person arrived at the restaurant, they were told that I, the customer, needed to cancel the order. Confused, I called the restaurant staff. They first said they cannot cancel the order or contact Uber Eats from their side, so I had to do it myself. But when I called again, they said they could not cancel the order and when i called from another number they told I could come pick up the food or dine in instead, like seriously
This whole situation felt very suspicious, especially since I used a promotion code—maybe that caused the problem. The last time I ordered from this place, the experience was decent, so I gave them another chance, but this time it was very disappointing. I’ve read multiple reviews with similar complaints, so I want to warn everyone to think twice before ordering from here. There’s no zero-star option, or I would have given them that. This kind of service is unacceptable and they need to...
Read moreDisappointed with my first experience at II Chapter. From the moment we walked in, we didn’t feel welcomed. We were told to sit wherever without any further guidance. A staff member handed us menus but ignored our request for water. After waiting 15 minutes with no follow-up, we had to go to the counter ourselves to place our order and ask for water.
We ordered the Chicken Tikka Wrap, but what we received was far from what was described. It was a few pieces of chicken in an overly sweet, strange sauce, wrapped in what seemed like naan – definitely not a wrap. The presentation and taste were both underwhelming.
Service was lacking, the food was disappointing, and the pricing felt unjustified for the quality. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this place based on...
