I recently returned from a trip to Nova Scotia and brought back five different kinds of cakes from the coast. Sharing them with friends, some former East coasters, 24 Carrot oatcakes were the clear fan favorite, more than holding their own against the finest oat cakes from Cape Breton. They are cross between the more austere CB style and some of the thicker, decadent mainland versions. A perfect balance it appears. They were so well loved by a friend’s Colombian girlfriend that she took the balance of his chocolate dipped oak cakes back to Bogota. Thanks to the staff at the bakery for setting me up for success!

After the person served it she said anything else I said yes I would like to have a date square.
