I recently visited LF Bakery, a quaint and hipster pastry shop, and I had an amazing experience. As an authentic French patisserie, their chocolate croissants stole my heart. The taste and quality of their pastries were exceptional, easily earning a 10/10 rating. During my first visit, there was minimal presentation (nearly sold out!), but the staff kindly suggested returning early in the morning for a more enticing display. I took their advice and was blown away by the incredible and mouth-watering presentation on my second visit.
The customer service at LF Bakery was top-notch. The staff was friendly, provided fast service, and were always ready to offer helpful suggestions. While the pastries at LF Bakery were typically French, their quality and attention to detail set them apart from any other bakery in the area.
In addition to the delectable pastries, LF Bakery also offers a variety of cafe options such as; tea, coffee, and lattes. This added variety enhances the overall experience.
Speaking of the overall experience, I found the prices at LF Bakery to be great value for the quality and taste they deliver. It's like experiencing the best of France or Montreal without the need for an expensive trip. Just close your eyes while you bite into their goods and you’re there!
I wholeheartedly recommend LF Bakery to anyone who appreciates fine pastries. From the warm and inviting ambiance to the exceptional taste and service, LF Bakery is a gem worth visiting. Indulge in their chocolate croissants, and you'll understand why this bakery has become my go-to spot for French pastries in the HRM.
Bon appétit à tous! Merci Laurent d’avoir déménagé ici et d’avoir partagé ta cuisine...
Read moreI used to love this bakery and I would come here with my family every weekend. However, unfortunately we had a terrible racist encounter at the shop. We bought six croissants and six cappuccinos because it was six of us and my infant. There was a lady who started yelling towards us saying “you people love moving all the furniture and you people are taking our country” etc. When we heard that, it instantly made us feel super uncomfortable, like strangers in our own country. Sure the colour of our skin didn’t match the lady but we have lived in this beautiful country long enough to call it our home. It was very sad to see that no one stepped in to say anything. We just kind of quietly ate our food and left. One lady just said that lady doesn’t know what she’s saying. The store people pretended to not hear and tbh I don’t blame them.
After this encounter, we just didn’t feel welcomed or comfortable...
Read moreI’ve never really felt or experienced racism in my life. But every time I walked into this store, something felt off. I think I was in denial. Yesterday, it finally clicked.
The staff never smile at me. They don’t greet me. Even when I say “hi” or ask, “How are you doing?” the response is always cold and dismissive: “Good, what do you want?” But I’ve watched them laugh, chat, and warmly engage with “certain” other customers right in front of me. The difference is impossible to ignore.
This isn’t just a one-time thing. I’ve been here at least 100 times, giving it chance after chance, with different employees but nothing ever changes. And many other reviews also state the same. Yesterday was the last time I will go here.
The pastries and prices are great, but no business should make people feel invisible. Whether subtle or obvious, racism is racism, and I...
